Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, I witnessed alongside my brother Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the historic launch of the high-speed train project linking Abu Dhabi and Dubai, cutting travel time to just 30 minutes at a maximum speed of 350 km/h. This milestone will help boost the UAE’s competitiveness and add AED 145 billion to the country’s GDP over 50 years. We also reviewed the UAE’s first passenger train fleet, capable of reaching speeds of 200 km/h, with initial stations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. These projects reflect the UAE’s commitment to sustainable and innovative transport solutions that enhance connectivity and quality of life.
