Data: Global mobile phone users spent over $1.2 billion on AI applications last year

According to the latest data released by mobile application analysis firm SensorTower on Wednesday local time, global mobile phone users spent $1.27 billion on AI chatbots and AI art generation tools in 2024, with chatbot apps accounting for $1.07 billion. In the chat robot platform, ChatGPT accounted for 23% of AIGC application downloads and 40% of AI application consumption. Google Gemini and ByteDance Doubao ranked second and third respectively in terms of downloads.
