Wu Shuo learned that according to Yonhap News Agency, the two major cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea, Upbit and Bithumb, will compensate investors a total of approximately 3.5 billion Korean won (2.4 million US dollars) due to system failures during the state of emergency on December 3 last year. Among them, Upbit is involved in 596 compensation cases, with an amount of 3.145 billion Korean won (approximately 2.2 million US dollars); Bithumb is involved in 124 compensation claims, totaling 378 million Korean won (approximately 264000 US dollars). This is the record for the highest amount and number of individuals compensated in a single transaction in the history of the Korean exchange. The system malfunction was caused by a surge in users, with 1.1 million simultaneous online users on Upbit and over 500000 on Bithumb on the same day, resulting in the suspension of some transactions and the failure of fund transfers. The South Korean financial authorities have requested exchanges to submit improvement plans such as server expansion and emergency plans, and have initiated on-site inspections. http://(wublock123.com)/index.php? m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=6&id=36785
