Trump has won and he has pledged to take action to protect Americans from the duopoly of the credit card companies. VP JD Vance sponsored a bill in the Senate called the Credit Card Competition Act. This would introduce needed competition in the Visa/MC duopoly. Lack of competition in this market has resulted in higher card transaction fees which costs the average American family about 900 per year. These excessive high swipe fees are taking profits from small businesses and vendors.
