Yes, changes to the EF will help Ethereum.
More presence on social media and engaging with builders, apps, and the community will also help.
But fundamentally, Ethereum needs to get better.
Current L1 execution feels like using dial up internet in 2025. It's too slow and too expensive. Ethereum doesn't need to scale to be Solana speeds, but it needs to be much more usable.
Decentralization and the ability to run validators on reasonable hardware is important. But right now I don't think we've found the optimal tradeoff point between hardware requirements and chain practicality.
We also need to increase the blob capacity of L1. This will allow L2s to handle more throughput and charge even lower fees. If the goal is to have hundreds of L2s all settling to Ethereum, it needs to become a much better DA layer. Right now, many L2 teams are opting to use alt-DA layers because of this.
Scaling the L1 in these ways will bring users and developers back to the Ethereum ecosystem. We've stagnated for too long - it's time to start making Ethereum usable again.
