According to a report by Golden Finance, Bloomberg industry research analyst James Seyfart stated in an interview that even if the White House takes a friendly attitude towards cryptocurrency, the Solana ETF may not be launched in the United States until 2026.
He stated that after President elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20th, issuers "may see" some improvement in the delayed Solana ETF applications. However, due to the SEC's previous requirement of 240-260 days to review documents, this timeline may be extended until 2026.
In addition, the US Securities and Exchange Commission is filing a lawsuit against cryptocurrency exchanges, accusing SOL of constituting unregistered securities, which makes the review process more complicated. Seyfart said, "The SEC enforcement department refers to Solana as a security, which makes it difficult for other departments of the SEC to define it as a commodity ETF for review
