Original: “Trump Meme Coin (TRUMP) Team Denies $300,000 Dinner Threshold Rumors”
The Trump Meme Coin team has denied rumors circulating on social media that holders of Official Trump (TRUMP) need at least $300,000 to attend an upcoming dinner with U.S. President Trump.
On April 25, the official X account of the Trump Meme Coin clarified that there is no $300,000 threshold requirement to attend the dinner event hosted by the meme coin project, which Trump will attend.
The rumor originated from community members citing data from the Solana blockchain explorer showing the token contract address holder information. As of the time of publication, the blockchain explorer indicated that the 220th largest holder owns 33,114 TRUMP tokens, valued at over $400,000. However, the meme coin team stated that the blockchain explorer does not reflect their actual criteria.
"People mistakenly took the 220th position on the blockchain explorer as a threshold standard. This is incorrect, as it includes locked tokens, exchanges, market makers, and holders who are not participating in the event. Instead, everyone should only consider the leaderboard as a reference," they wrote.
On April 23, the Trump Coin team released the leaderboard showing the leading wallet addresses eligible to attend the dinner event.
The final guest list has not been determined, but the meme coin team stated that any token holder wishing to qualify must undergo a background check. Additionally, their wallets must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) and compliance reviews.
According to the official website of the meme coin, the team will select winners based on time-weighted holdings. This metric calculates the amount held and the duration of token ownership. "The longer the holding period, the higher the weighted score," the team wrote.
As of the time of publication, the largest holder on the leaderboard owns over 1.1 million tokens, valued at $14.6 million, but has a time-weighted score of just over 686,000 points. The 220th wallet holder has 1,125 TRUMP, valued at nearly $15,000, with a score of 136 points.
The leaderboard also shows that some addresses currently holding zero TRUMP tokens are still eligible to attend the dinner. This may be due to their previous long-term token holdings.
