Cryptocurrency companies and exchanges are accelerating their entry into Wall Street, launching more traditional investment products, showcasing the increasingly close ties between cryptocurrency and traditional finance (TradFi).

Gracy Chen, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Bitget, stated, "The synergy between traditional financial investments and the emerging crypto space is strengthening."

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Chen said, "Crypto participants are now looking at traditional finance because they see the opportunity to build bridges."

Chen remarked, "The boundaries are blurring—investors need flexibility, and products that can span both realms are naturally attractive. Some participants view TradFi as a safety net, while institutions like Bitget see it as a springboard for increased adoption." She added:

Chen's comments came after cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced on April 14 that it would connect to 11,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). According to Cointelegraph, this marks Kraken's first step into expanding into traditional financial products.

The news of Kraken's entry into the traditional stock market coincided with the S&P 500 index experiencing a historic drop of over $5 trillion in just two days following Trump's announcement of reciprocal import tariffs on April 2.

Brian Armstrong, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, also expressed a similar vision. In the company's latest earnings call, Armstrong stated that Coinbase's goal is to help modernize the global financial system and bring more of the global GDP onto the crypto track.

He said during the earnings call, "We believe this will create a more efficient, fairer, and freer world, accelerating progress and creating economic freedom."

A spokesperson for cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase told Cointelegraph, "The relationship between digital assets and traditional assets is essentially symbiotic." The spokesperson added:

"With increased global regulatory clarity and institutional adoption, we expect more global GDP to operate on the crypto track," the spokesperson added.

Omri Hanover, General Manager of cryptocurrency platform Gems Trade, stated in an interview with Cointelegraph that in this "inevitable convergence," blockchain technology brings "speed and transparency," while traditional finance introduces "trust, scale, and compliance."

He explained, "Traditional finance and cryptocurrency together open new avenues for retail and institutional investors, especially those who want exposure to digital assets but do not want to fully dive into complex native crypto products."

Traditional investment platforms like eToro and Robinhood have also launched cryptocurrency services.
