Actually, I agree with the appreciation of the RMB against the USD. It's not too much; the US GDP in 2024 is projected to be 29 trillion, while China's is 18.5 trillion. An appreciation of about 50% would make the GDPs of China and the US roughly equal, which I think aligns with the actual situation of both countries.

This roughly corresponds to a USD to RMB exchange rate of around 5.

However, the path recommended by Dalio is difficult to discuss. China still needs to maintain sufficient foreign exchange reserves because the US has not given up on its intentions against us.

One path is to exchange USD for gold, which would lead to a depreciation of the USD against gold, while the RMB would depreciate relatively less.

Another option is to let Americans print USD to buy RMB.
