I don't know if this is true or a joke, but it may become more difficult to buy an iPhone or any Apple productivity suite in China in the future. The sanctions on Chinese tariffs have made Apple's Made In China a very challenging task.

In response to these tariffs, Apple has already shifted some production to India and other countries. Reports indicate that Apple plans to increase iPhone production in India to 25 million units by 2025, with possibly half of that supply going to the U.S. market. Although the current tariff being prepared for India is 26%, there may still be room for negotiation.

Even a 26% tariff would be lower than those in neighboring Vietnam and Cambodia. Many may know that a batch of iPhones sold in 2024 will be made in India, with quality and craftsmanship being quite poor, but there doesn't seem to be a good choice in the face of pricing.

Additionally, Apple has announced plans to invest $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years, creating 20,000 jobs, primarily focused on research and development. By increasing domestic production, they aim to reduce reliance on overseas manufacturing and potentially mitigate the impact of tariffs to some extent. After all, Trump said that as long as jobs are created in the U.S., tariffs can be waived.

In the future, the $799 iPhone may no longer be seen.
