🦭 Introduction to Walrus Sites

Walrus Sites is a decentralized hosting service that utilizes the programmability of Sui and Walrus. Website assets are stored on Walrus, with Sui responsible for managing metadata, referencing these assets, and coordinating operations.

Users can access the website through the portal, with the mainnet portal being http://wal.app, but you can also manage your own website.

🛠 Mainnet Website Publishing Process

After the launch of the Walrus mainnet, you can start deploying your website by following these steps:

1️⃣ Update your Site Builder CLI and Walrus CLI to the latest mainnet version. Make sure your walrus config and sites-config.yaml are up to date! PackageIDs have also been updated.

2️⃣ Ensure you have $WAL and $SUI ready in your wallet for the mainnet.

3️⃣ Use the CLI to publish your website and obtain the Object ID of your website on Sui.

4️⃣ If you do not have a SuiNS domain yet, you can visit http://suins.io to get one.

5️⃣ Go to http://suins.io, navigate to Wallet -> Your Names -> link to Walrus Sites (paste your website Object ID).
