⚡️ Ethereum developers launch new testnet Hoodi for final testing of the Pectra upgrade

A few days ago, the activation of Pectra on the Holesky and Sepolia test networks encountered configuration issues, causing the official timeline to be delayed;

The Pectra upgrade aims to improve the usability and scalability of Ethereum $ETH.

It includes reducing data availability costs by increasing the number of "blob" transactions on the second layer network, significantly increasing staking limits, and introducing account abstraction, which greatly expands the functionality of smart contracts and wallets;

The launch of the Hoodi testnet is a key step taken by Ethereum developers to ensure the smooth rollout of the Pectra upgrade.

Its significance lies in providing a more reliable testing environment at the technical level, optimizing testing efficiency at the process level, promoting the long-term development of Ethereum at the ecological level, and potentially enhancing community confidence at the market level.

Pectra may be activated on the Ethereum mainnet as early as April 25, approximately 30 days after the deployment of the upgrade plan on the new Hoodi test network.
