This morning, while the market was almost entirely focused on the massive drop, two seemingly ordinary yet very suspicious X account hacking incidents occurred.
Both Meteora and Ben Chow, the former founder of Meteora who left due to the LIBRA scandal, posted statements indicating that the official X account of Meteora and Ben Chow's personal X account had been hacked (Ben Chow's statement about the hack has since been deleted). However, according to screenshots from the community, these incidents do not seem as straightforward as they appear.
Odaily Note: The statement regarding the hacking of Meteora's X account has been deleted by Ben Chow.
Below, Odaily Planet Daily will summarize what exactly happened this morning.
Cause: Ben Chow's Personal Account Speaks Out
First, at 8:29 AM, Ben Chow posted a statement on his personal account regarding the MELANIA, LIBRA, and TRUMP incidents.
In the post, he pointed out that Dhirk and Vlad, co-founders of DefiTuna who previously exposed the manipulation behind Meteora's platform M3M3, are among the puppet masters behind tokens like MELANIA. (Reference: DefiTuna founder exposes $200 million market manipulation plan involving LIBRA, MELANIA, and other tokens.)
Ben Chow even shared some addresses and chats as evidence, stating that Dhirk and Vlad had extracted at least $30 million from these manipulative actions.
This is my official statement regarding the MELANIA, LIBRA, and TRUMP incidents:
As a long-time builder in Solana, my reason for leaving is that I felt overly trusting of the parasitic nature of the meme token market.
Together with the LP Legion (note: a common term used by the Meteora community for LPs), we built a decentralized AMM protocol that was loved by users and accessible to anyone. The co-founders of DefiTuna and their associate Kelsier abused Meteora and our community for personal gain.
I am disgusted by the actions of DefiTuna co-founders Dhirk and Vlad, who attempted to act as whistleblowers against me while they have been actively plotting around MELANIA, MATES, and more tokens to maximize their profits.
How can you sit in a room with a group of insiders to short ENRON and then weeks later decide to try to trap the founder of an unlicensed protocol instead of exposing all these insiders?
Look at their addresses; they have shorted and extracted at least $30 million from MELANIA, MATES, and other projects.

Progress: Meteora Account Retweets Comments
Shortly after Ben Chow's personal account spoke out (around 8:42 AM), Meteora's official account retweeted with comments, apologizing for the unfair practices during the issuance of the MELANIA token and stating that "they still hold 30% of the MELANIA tokens and are preparing to dump."
Important information about MELANIA:
We, the Meteora team, sincerely apologize to the community for the recent actions of Hayden (Kelsier CEO) and his team.
Unfortunately, they abused Meteora and its technology to maximize their personal interests, extracting unfair benefits from the MELANIA token.
We understand that they currently still hold about 30% of the total supply, and insiders have suggested that they plan to sell on the market soon.
We deeply regret this situation and are tirelessly ensuring that it does not happen again. Your trust is crucial to us, and we are committed to restoring everything to normal.

Twist: Both Quickly Delete Tweets
However, Ben Chow and Meteora's "statements" were only public for a very short time before being quickly deleted, and then both Ben Chow and Meteora "refuted" the claims, stating that their accounts had been hacked… leading to the ordinary theft statement this morning.
Many Doubts
Clearly, this incident raises numerous questions from various angles.
First, is it more likely that hackers simultaneously breached both Ben Chow and Meteora's accounts? Or is it more likely that the now-departed Ben Chow still retains access to the Meteora account?
Second, assuming that hackers did steal Ben Chow and Meteora's accounts, from an economic perspective, why not just send a phishing link instead of going through the trouble of a lengthy statement?
Third, assuming there really are hackers? Where did they obtain those private chat records and the addresses of the relevant individuals?
From another perspective, if the person behind the posts from both accounts is indeed the now-departed Ben Chow, who quickly deleted the tweets and claimed they were hacked to control the narrative?
From the content of the statements, people previously viewed DefiTuna, which exposed the manipulation behind M3M3, as heroes, but how do we explain their deep involvement in the chat records? Is the claim that "they still hold 30% of MELANIA to dump" true?
All these questions arose with the "sudden statements" from Ben Chow and Meteora, but were lost with the "account control" claims, leaving no opportunity for answers.
Looking back at the entire incident, Ben Chow's "statement" seems to carry a sense of resentment at being made a scapegoat… What roles do DefiTuna, Kelsier, Meteora, and the Jupiter behind them play in this botched manipulation incident? Who is the villain, who is innocent? Or is everyone backstage just playing along?
