I casually found a few images, and you can see that BTC.D was almost at a short-term low in early December, with more funds flowing into altcoins. This is why altcoins performed the best during this period in early December. However, after early December ended and BTC's market share began to recover, altcoins started to decline.

So my view is that one reason altcoins are not following the decline is that they have just experienced a significant drop, and investors who had already lost a lot have very little position left; those who needed to exit have mostly done so, and leverage has also been largely cleared. Another main reason is that BTC's recent drop was not substantial, so it hasn't yet reached the point where lower-priced, lower-leverage investors need to liquidate.

Finally, many friends are betting on Friday's core PCE and are reluctant to exit now. This is my perspective, and I welcome corrections.
