AI is a topic that has been widely discussed recently. A few days ago, during a live event, I shared my views on the current state of AI. In the cryptocurrency industry, there are mainly two types of AI. One is expectation-based AI focused on memes, which is more akin to the concept investments seen during the ICO era. Indeed, this type of AI has considerable imaginative potential, but it falls short in practical application and struggles to provide real assistance in trading.
The other type is practical trading assistance AI. This kind of product has already begun to take shape in the market, but there are currently no mass-produced or quantitative versions that can genuinely assist users in trading. Therefore, essentially, the AI in the current cryptocurrency industry is still concept-driven, which is a significant difference from the AI in the U.S. stock market.
Although both are called AI, it must be said that traditional market AI has more practical applications. Moreover, the recent executive order from Trump mentioned that there would be positive support for both AI and the cryptocurrency industry in the U.S. So, if there can be genuine AI in the cryptocurrency sector, it might enjoy double benefits.
Today, I found the letter from @MetisL2 founder @Natalia_Ameline quite touching. After all, as a second-layer network of #Ethereum, the development of ETH itself is mired in difficulties and doubts, so one can only imagine how challenging it is for second-layer networks. Therefore, fully embracing AI as a transformation strategy may not be a bad way to break the deadlock. As I mentioned earlier, if we can truly integrate cryptocurrency with AI applications, it is very likely that we will enjoy double benefits. Thus, a comprehensive embrace of application-based AI in the cryptocurrency field could become a trend.
In this regard, projects that already have public chains and application technologies are likely to progress faster. Additionally, I noticed in Metis's letter a mention of solutions to "data issues," which I find quite interesting. I have been studying this area recently, and the current solutions are still quite vague, lacking a unified answer. I am curious about what kind of solutions Metis will propose, so I will keep an eye on it.
