# I. Succinct Introduction

Succinct is building a decentralized prover network aimed at reducing blockchain verification costs and delays by separating transaction execution from verification. Its core technology, SP1 zkVM, leverages GPU optimization and efficient recursion, achieving a 10-fold performance improvement and compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), providing solutions for cross-chain bridging, instant fund withdrawals, and other scenarios.

The Succinct Network is not only suitable for various existing ZK applications, such as rollups, cross-chain bridges, and identity verification, but also offers vast space and possibilities for more innovative applications that may emerge in the future. At the same time, it cleverly utilizes cryptoeconomic incentives to elevate global proving capabilities to new heights.

In simple terms, Succinct's vision is to enable anyone to become a prover, utilizing their computing resources to provide verification services for the blockchain world.

# II. Advantages of Succinct

The author believes that Succinct has two main advantages:

The first is financing. Succinct's financing is impressive, raising $55 million, led by Paradigm, with participation from Robot Ventures, Bankless Ventures, and other institutions. Both the lead and participating institutions are quite remarkable.

The second is the globally distributed proving cluster and proving competition (full payment auction) mentioned in the white paper.

• The globally distributed proving cluster can be understood as the current transportation system, where each transportation company has its own "delivery capacity." For example, some excel at delivering small items, while others are better at large items, some are fast, and others have a wide coverage area. These couriers together form a "global transportation network" that provides delivery services for the entire city. In the Succinct Network, the globally distributed proving cluster is this "global transportation network," but instead of providing delivery services, it offers verification services, with global provers (hardware, data centers, home devices) collectively providing computing and verification capabilities for the blockchain network.

• The proving competition (full payment auction) incentivizes users to generate proofs, submit requests, and attach fees, with provers participating in the auction to gain the right to generate proofs. The uniqueness of the proving competition (full payment auction) lies in the requirement for all participants to pay a small "bidding fee" to demonstrate sincerity. The benefit of this approach is that users can obtain services at the market's lowest price, while service providers continuously optimize hardware and algorithms through competition to reduce costs.

# III. Succinct Testnet

Succinct opened its testnet on February 11. As it is a closed testnet, the author will provide a tutorial on how to obtain an invitation code, access the testnet, and instructions for the games within the testnet.

(1) How to Obtain an Invitation Code

Currently, there are still many opportunities to obtain an invitation code, with the following participation angles:

• Participate in weekly activities organized by the community. Join the Succinct Discord server, select the #contest-details channel, check the rules for this week's activities, participate according to your skills, and post your work on X or in the server's #submissions channel.

• Be active in the community; when you are sufficiently active, you may receive an invitation code.

• Contribute by writing articles, creating appealing images, memes, etc., and you may be manually given a code by the official team.

• Invitation codes will be distributed irregularly on X, but due to time zone differences, it may not be very friendly for those in the UTC+8 zone.

Suggestion: The author suggests that participating in activities is the simplest way to obtain an invitation code; basically, as long as you submit a work that fits the theme, you will receive one. If you lack skills, you can choose the second option for deeper involvement.

(2) Accessing the Testnet

• Go to https://testnet.succinct.xyz, click "ENTER TESTNET," and then click "CONTINUE."

• Follow the steps to connect your wallet;

• Enter the 10-digit invitation code;

• Link your X account;

• Make a deposit. (To participate in the testnet, you need to deposit 10U; currently, only one deposit of 10U is supported, which is a one-time expense with no need for further deposits.)

(3) Game Instructions in the Testnet

Currently, there are 5 games in the testnet, with the following gameplay rules:

• Superprover

Click the block to earn a Succinct testnet star. After testing, clicking successfully will earn you a star, costing around 0.1U in GAS fees.

• Ethereum

Choose an Ethereum block to prove, numbered 1-5. Larger blocks require more computation but offer higher star rewards.

• Play Flappy Bird

The flying bird earns you more points the higher your score. After testing, flying past a pillar gives about 0.5 stars, making it easier to earn stars, but the cost in U will also increase.

• TruthLens

Select the images you believe are AI-generated; it costs nothing, but you can only play once a week. After testing, selecting all will earn you 10 points.

• Turbo

Dodge the blocks and collect the pink SUCCINCT icon, following the same rules as the childhood game of dodging blocks. After testing, every 10 points will earn you about 1 star, costing 0.1U in gas fees.

The testnet was updated on February 19, balancing the rewards for each game; now, you can generally earn 100-110 stars for 10U.

# IV. Conclusion

Whether in terms of financing or technological advantages, Succinct is a project worth participating in. Currently, around 20,000 people have joined the closed testnet, and considering that participation requires a deposit, there is a high probability of incentives in the future.

If you do not have an invitation code yet, please do not worry; actively participate in community activities. Currently, obtaining an invitation code is not overly competitive, and it is believed that as time goes on, more test slots will be opened.
