Here are my thoughts on the @cookiedotfun DeFAI hackathon.

I only realized late in the event that projects with tokens would be disqualified (even though many such projects were prominently featured on the Cookie DeFAI hackathon dashboard).

Nevertheless, this hackathon still attracted many high-quality teams that built very unique products.

From the list of winners, it is clear that all awarded projects are entirely new ideas.

Next, I will share several of the most interesting projects, starting with those that were disqualified and continuing to the final winners.

Let's get started.

1. AlphaSwarm by @TheoriqAI

AlphaSwarm is a Python-based toolkit designed for DeFAI autonomous trading agents.

It allows users to obtain real-time market and social signals from @cookiedotfun and execute trading strategies across multiple blockchains using natural language. (Click for details)

2. Edwin by @buildwithedwin

Edwin is a TypeScript-based infrastructure designed to support AI agents interacting with DeFi protocols. Through Edwin, users can create DeFAI agents for liquidity provision (LP'ing), lending operations, and cross-chain interactions.

@aiymx_agent is the first agent based on Edwin infrastructure that provides real-time liquidity.

3. Homo Memetus by @homo_memetus

Homo Memetus is a DeFAI ecosystem that innovatively tokenizes trading strategies and allows these strategies to compete with each other (or with humans) through a simulated "natural selection" process to filter out the most profitable strategies.

The vision and roadmap of this project are impressive, but it is still in a very early development stage. (Click for details)

4. Anti-Rug Agent by @AntiRugAgent

Anti-Rug Agent is a comprehensive security tool designed for Solana developers.

It analyzes liquidity, wallets, internal transactions, codebases, and GitHub data through @repoanalyzer to provide users with AI security ratings. This makes it one of the powerful tools for conducting due diligence (DD). (Click for details)

5. BevorAI (formerly CertaiK)

@CertaiK_Agent is a Virtuals-based tool aimed at making smart contract auditing more accessible. Using AI technology, it can complete audits in 30 seconds, significantly improving efficiency.

The team recently launched an AI agent security rating feature and added LARP analysis (to identify potential security risks) as the latest feature. (Click for details)

Special Mentions (Token-based Agent Projects)

  • @jailbreakme_xyz: Focused on AI security and anti-cracking testing, which is crucial for the scalability and application of AI models.

  • Maya by @Flame__live: A unique DeFAI agent whose personality changes based on market dynamics and trading strategies, showcasing the potential for AI personalization.

Cookie DeFAI Hackathon Awarded Projects (Non-token Projects)

  1. ### Kudo

@kudo_archi proposed an innovative contract framework capable of achieving complex financial scenarios through Covenant NFT (cNFT), such as unsecured loans, employment agreements, etc. This framework enables the possibility of high-level financial interactions between agents. (Click for details)

  1. ### Egg AI

@eggaiagent is a copy trading agent that integrates AI technology, capable of market research, analysis, and execution. It combines a SocialFi (social finance) layer and an AI autonomous research and execution layer, offering two trading modes:

  • Tren Egg: A fully automated copy trading mode.

  • Chad Egg: A trading mode that allows users to customize controls.

  1. ### Aevia

@aeviaprotocol is the first agent to help users preserve their digital legacy. After a user passes away, Aevia can programmatically pass messages, encrypted assets, and NFTs to loved ones. Additionally, the team has developed an agent that can regularly contact users to ensure they are in good health.

Special Mentions

@AgentXYZ_ai: A trading terminal that combines social features and on-chain data insights. The recently launched AI-driven rating system can provide users with buy/sell operation suggestions.

Summary

The Cookie DeFAI hackathon was a tremendous success, attracting many high-quality teams that built a series of innovative DeFAI products using the DataSwarm API provided by @cookiedotfun.

However, it is regrettable that token-based projects were disqualified—many of these projects have already developed mature products and are not just at the conceptual stage. I hope the next Cookie DeFAI hackathon can welcome a more diverse range of participants, including teams with tokens.

Even so, the level of innovation at this event is still astonishing. DeFAI is breaking through traditional abstraction layers and autonomous trading agents, with more and more projects beginning to utilize on-chain data and social sentiment data to explore truly unique application scenarios.

We have only just taken the first step.

The future of DeFAI is being created right now.
