"Persist in Doing the Right Thing, Not the Easy Thing"

In a recent interview, CZ discussed the reasons behind Binance's rise. Besides the favorable timing and his own experience along with a strong team, he specifically mentioned, "I think the most important thing is that our philosophy is different from previous exchanges. We are not just focused on making money; we prioritize protecting our users, which was clearly demonstrated during the '94 withdrawal' incident."

He gave an example: at that time, it was stipulated that projects that had conducted ICOs in China had to return money to investors if they incurred losses, but many projects were severely in the red and could not repay. On our platform, there were about four projects in a loss state, and the project parties did not have the funds to cover user losses. After consideration, we decided to cover the user losses, which amounted to $6 million. It’s worth noting that just two months prior, we had raised $15 million, and the company was still operating at a loss; $6 million represented 40% of the company's assets. Even so, we still allocated this amount to cover user losses, and these were not projects we had issued.

Whenever I see those who change the world persist in doing the right thing, I feel inspired and deeply moved.

In the eyes of mediocre people, others' success is either luck or conspiracy; but for those who aspire to achieve excellence, learning from others is the only way forward.
