EDU Chain's First Global Online Hackathon "Semester 1" Review

Hackathon Summary

The EDU Chain Hackathon: Semester 1 concluded successfully in 2024, with a large number of participants and significant outcomes. The event was hosted by Open Campus, featuring 725 projects and attracting 4,672 developers, with a prize pool of $200,000. After evaluation, there were 20 winners from two main categories—DeFi and Infrastructure, along with 12 winners from four other categories.

The judging criteria focused on ecosystem impact, innovation, and scalability, assessed by representatives from organizations such as Animoca Brands and Open Campus. Winners can join the EDU Chain developer group in the Open Campus accelerator program, receive DAO proposal support, and gain media exposure through platforms like Forbes. They can also join a dedicated Discord channel to communicate with judges, with each project having potential funding support of up to $100,000.

This hackathon was a key event for decentralized application development on EDU Chain. EDU Chain is an L3 Rollup within the Arbitrum Orbit Stack, aimed at enhancing blockchain-based educational solutions.
