At 6 AM this morning, Sam Altman, Masayoshi Son, and Larry Ellison, the three co-founders and CEOs of OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, attended a news live-streaming conference hosted by Trump.
Trump announced that SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle have jointly established a new AI company called Stargate, which will invest $500 billion over the next four years. An immediate investment of $100 billion will be made for the construction of AI infrastructure.

The Stargate project is a newly established company that plans to invest $500 billion over the next four years to build new AI infrastructure for OpenAI in the United States. We will immediately invest $100 billion.
This infrastructure will ensure the United States' leadership in the AI field, create hundreds of thousands of American jobs, and bring significant economic benefits to the world. The project not only supports the re-industrialization of the United States but also provides strategic capabilities for the U.S. and its allies to ensure national security.
The initial equity investors in Stargate include SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. SoftBank and OpenAI are the main partners of Stargate, with SoftBank responsible for finance and OpenAI responsible for operations, and Masayoshi Son will serve as chairman.
Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI are key initial technology partners for the project. Construction work has already begun in Texas, and we are evaluating potential locations nationwide to finalize agreements for more campuses.
As part of the Stargate project, Oracle, NVIDIA, and OpenAI will work closely together to build and operate this computing system. This continues the deep collaboration between OpenAI and NVIDIA since 2016, as well as the newer partnership between OpenAI and Oracle.
This project also extends the existing partnership between OpenAI and Microsoft. OpenAI will continue to increase its use of Azure, leveraging this additional computing power to train leading models and provide excellent products and services as the collaboration with Microsoft progresses.
