The framework of Story is to facilitate interaction and trading of IP between AI Agents, thereby creating a new type of on-chain economy.

Understanding Story starts with understanding IP

Firstly, IP itself is a valuable asset.

Story exists as an L1 chain for IP. To understand Story, one must first understand IP. IP is a vast market that includes brands, creative works, technological achievements, and more. Specifically, it can be a song, a game, a brand, a technology patent, or common items in the crypto space such as MEME or AI training data, etc.

In other words, IP is a type of asset. As long as it is an asset, there are demands for asset issuance, asset trading, and so on. This opens up the application scenarios for IP. It can be combined with DeFi and with AI Agents, which will be described later.

Secondly, there is an essential difference between off-chain and on-chain IP assets. On-chain IP is programmable, allowing IP owners to control, own, and earn revenue from their IP.

The significance of Story for IP assets

Since IP is an asset, the scenarios that can be realized off-chain are not as extensive as those on-chain, especially in terms of asset liquidity. On-chain, IP owners can not only have control but also achieve more revenue through the market. This is also the source of Story's importance for IP assets. For Story, there are two IP markets: one is the on-chain market for off-chain IP assets, similar to RWA; the other is the on-chain IP market for issuance, trading, and management of on-chain IP assets.

The market economy between Story and AI Agents

There are many aspects of Story's integration with AI. These include: becoming important training data with shared revenue; AI Agents generating on-chain IP assets; AI Agents utilizing Story's on-chain IP assets; and commercial transactions between AI Agents (trading training data, creative works, etc.). This forms an on-chain market that combines IP and AI Agents.

The reason why Story and AI Agents can integrate is primarily due to the uniqueness of IP. Uniqueness is akin to DNA. This provides a good intersection for AI Agents and model training.

It has been previously mentioned that the collaboration between Story and Stability is a win-win for both parties. From Story's perspective, it can utilize Stability's AI models to provide a measurable contribution model for creators (including artists and developers, etc.). For example, one use case is: registering an artist's unique style (writer, painter, musician, etc.) as transparently usable IP data, which can become training data. For Stability, using Story's IP data for fine-tuning and training its models. Once this collaboration generates revenue, such as creators earning from training and fine-tuning with these IP data, all participants can benefit.

Story aims to launch the TCP/IP for AI Agents, with the goal of building a trading market between AI Agents. This is key to maximizing Story's IP characteristics and is an important step in determining the future market scale it can achieve.

From the current disclosures of Story, its TCP/IP is a framework that supports mutual trading of IP between Agents. Agents can trade training data, creative styles, investment strategies, etc., with each other. Story plans to integrate ai16z's Eliza and Virtual's GAME framework, and it is expected to later integrate swarms, arc, etc., with the main goal of allowing all Agents to trade IP assets with each other.

For example, a human user or institution places a creative request with an Agent that has a specific music style (unique IP). Based on the client's needs, this AI Agent decides to initiate a purchase request for IP from other music style (unique IP) Agents to blend and create a new music style (new IP), and ultimately submits the work to the client. This not only involves interaction between humans and AI Agents but also trading between AI Agents.

This will create various interactions and transactions, forming a market filled with innovative IP assets. Additionally, Story has hired AI Agent LUNA as its promotional intern, with an expected salary of over $300,000. This also demonstrates the scenario of trading between Story's AI Agents.

As countless on-chain AI Agents will emerge in the future, there will be a demand for interaction and trading among these AI Agents. The trading content of AI Agents often includes IP. Story is targeting this market, managing a large amount of IP through its TCP/IP framework, allowing AI Agents to interact and trade without the need for trust or intermediaries, thus promoting the prosperity of the trading market between AI Agents.

In summary, the future is an era of a surge in AI Agents, and there is a demand for trading between AI Agents. The framework of Story is to help these AI Agents achieve interaction and trading of IP, thereby creating a new type of on-chain economy. Ultimately, its success largely depends on the total scale of IP trading among the AI Agents relying on Story.
