The 16th Anniversary of the Bitcoin Genesis Block—
Sixteen years ago, on January 3, 2009, at 18:15:05, the Bitcoin genesis block was born; Satoshi Nakamoto engraved on the genesis block: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.”
This sentence is the headline of an article in The Times on that day, meaning: “On January 3, 2009, the Chancellor was on the verge of implementing a second round of emergency aid for banks.”
At that time, the world was experiencing a global economic crisis. Satoshi Nakamoto seemingly casually quoted the article's headline, but in essence, he pointed out the various flaws in the current financial system while also clarifying Bitcoin's mission:
It aims to build a new monetary system in a completely different way, providing an alternative path to solve the economic crisis.
Because of this goal, since its inception, Bitcoin has been hated by sovereign nations that have relied on printing money to exploit the public, and has been viewed as a potential competitor by governments around the world, facing ruthless suppression and attempts to eradicate it!
Yet it miraculously survived, evolving from being misunderstood to being accepted, and has even become the new darling of finance, even becoming a new focal point for the United States!
What we can see is that in the future, national reserves, publicly listed companies, and super-rich individuals are all buying Bitcoin. Michael Saylor predicts that in the coming decades, capital will flow massively into Bitcoin, and Bitcoin is gradually achieving its goal!
