Caldera, a RaaS (Rollups-as-a-Service) platform supporting major blockchains such as Manta Pacific, Injective, Apechain, and Kinto, announced today that it has integrated the SOON stack, allowing developers to deploy Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) capabilities on Ethereum Rollups. This integration makes Caldera the first multi-VM Rollup platform in the Web3 space.

The strategic partnership between Caldera and SOON marks a significant advancement in blockchain scalability technology, enabling developers to deploy high-performance SVM Rollups and traditional EVM Rollups through Caldera's already validated one-click Rollup building platform.

SOON's innovation lies in decoupling the architecture of the SVM, separating Solana's virtual machine from its consensus layer. This technological breakthrough allows developers to leverage the performance advantages of SVM while utilizing the security of Ethereum Layer 1, unlocking a range of on-chain use cases that were previously unattainable due to performance limitations.

Caldera CEO Matt Katz stated, "The integration with SOON is our latest initiative in striving for an on-chain future. In the future, deploying a modular, ultra-fast, application-specific blockchain will be as simple as executing an on-chain transaction today. This partnership will enable developers to take advantage of SVM's performance benefits while benefiting from Ethereum's robust security guarantees. This marks an important step towards democratizing access to high-performance block space in the industry."

The main advantages of this integration are as follows:

  • Support for SVM architecture, enhancing the transaction processing capabilities of Rollups;

  • Flexible multi-VM support, allowing developers to choose specific environments based on use cases;

  • Native-level Ethereum security achieved through the integration of fraud proof systems;

  • One-click deployment process with minimal technical requirements.

In the coming weeks, both parties will collaborate to launch an SVM devnet, providing developers with access to test and deploy applications.

About Caldera

Caldera is one of the fastest-growing Rollup ecosystems on Ethereum, helping Web3 teams launch high-performance, customized, application-specific Rollups. The Caldera network already has over 75 modular Rollups, supporting a unified Rollup ecosystem where these Rollups share collective network effects and enjoy greater efficiency, scalability, and security. Networks such as Manta Pacific, Apechain, Kinto, Injective, RARI Chain, and Zerion's Zero Network benefit from Caldera's expert support and strong coordination mechanisms for their builders. Caldera's Metalayer serves as the connective organization between Rollups in the Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, and ZK stacks. As a full-chain, multi-purpose abstraction layer usable across different Rollup architectures, Metalayer provides connectivity effects while simplifying the developer experience, enabling Ethereum to achieve internet-scale. Caldera has raised $25 million from major investment firms including Founders Fund, Dragonfly, Sequoia Capital, and Lattice.
