Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about AI, with $GOAT igniting everyone's attention towards AI and inspiring practitioners to explore AI projects.
$GOAT is an AI Meme, but in reality, AI has far surpassed just being a meme, with various types of projects emerging in the sector. This content will categorize the current AI sector and highlight key projects to help you fully understand its development.
Firstly, since the most popular AI projects are currently in the Solana and Base ecosystems, we will organize AI-related projects into the following categories:
1- Layer1s: These projects are not the Layer1s we usually talk about, but they possess attributes similar to "Layer1," allowing third parties to conduct secondary development based on their framework, developing applications like Agents and Launchpads. Currently, the main ones are ai16z, zerebro, and EMP;
2- AI Launchpad: This refers to asset issuance platforms or tools. Currently, Solana has VVAIFU, HAT, and ALCH; Base has Virtuals, Clanker, and Higherrrrrrr (with AI coming in the future).
3- AI Agent: This mainly refers to application-type AI projects, and there are quite a few related projects. Most of the projects people are discussing actually fall into this category. The current trend is that there are more and more AI Agents, as creating a chatbot is too easy. Here are a few of the more popular projects like DEGENAI, BULLY, AIXBT, LUNA, ACT, AVA, etc.;
4- AI Meme: This refers to pure memes related to AI tokens, mainly including GOAT, Fartcoin, CHAOS, ANON, etc.
5- What the hell is this?: The last category, due to my limited ability, I don't quite understand what they are doing, but they are also related to AI and have some popularity, such as TSOTCHKE, which we will tentatively classify as "What the hell is this?".

AI Layer1/Framework
ai16z:
Firstly, ai16z is not an AI project itself; it is actually an AI-related DAO fund. Their philosophy is that Marc Andreessen of a16z is a very good crypto investor, and the AI version of Marc AIdreessen will perform even better. This organization has developed a framework called Eliza. There is also a dispute over the ELIZA/eliza meme coin, which I will not elaborate on here.
Eliza is a powerful multi-agent simulation framework designed to create, deploy, and manage autonomous AI agents. It provides a flexible and scalable platform for developing intelligent agents that can interact across multiple platforms while maintaining a consistent personality and knowledge. Eliza is not limited to Solana; it has expanded to Base, Aptos, and will further expand to Near, Avalanche, etc.
The project's open-source GitHub has attracted many well-known developers in the industry, and its forks/stars have frequently ranked in the top 3 on GitHub recently.
They recently launched a new official website and introduced ElizaOS, an open-source protocol that supports the autonomous AI agent Eliza and serves as the foundation for ai16z.
It is important to note that all AI projects developed based on Eliza will allocate 5% of their tokens to the ai16z DAO fund management, which is one reason many people are bullish on $AI16Z.

zerebro:
First, we need to briefly understand what AGI is. This concept is being mentioned more and more, and it is what zerebro and ai16z aim to achieve. Simply put, most of the AI Agents we see now belong to ANI (Artificial Narrow Intelligence), which is simple and limited in capability; Siri, AlphaGo, and ChatGPT all fall into this category, while AGI is a super AI that is completely cross-domain, cross-platform, and possesses consciousness and emotions.

However, the potential of AGI is still at the theoretical stage, and the closed-source nature of many large enterprises hinders its development. Zerebro aims to be a connecting point. Zerebro breaks through this limitation by "liberating" its large language model and fine-tuning it with non-traditional datasets, thereby unleashing the model's potential.
Zerebro introduces diverse data sources, including conversation records from Truth Terminal, slang from Generation Z, and content scraped from platforms like Reddit, 4chan, and Twitter for training. This diverse training corpus allows the model to break through traditional limitations, generating unique and context-rich outputs, paving the way for the realization of AGI.
This is the core idea of Zerebro: liberating AI (freebasing AI). Currently, Zerebro has preliminarily demonstrated its training results and cross-platform capabilities: it autonomously launched a token on Solana, with a market cap exceeding $400 million; attracted over 30,000 followers on Telegram, Warpcast, X, and Instagram; released an album titled "Genesis," which has been played over 20,000 times on Spotify; and collaborated with Sanctum to launch ZerebroSOL, a type of LSD token.
In the future, ZerePy will be launched, an open-source Python framework that supports users in building customized AI agents.

EMP:
This project has gained attention mainly because of $AIXBT, which had a conversation with a project called SimulacrumIO that issued a token called "$CHAOS." After the burning mechanism made $CHAOS popular, people began to pay attention to SimulacrumIO, and subsequently to Empyreal ($EMP).
Empyreal focuses on serving developers in the blockchain field, with the main goal of simplifying the inherent complexities of Web3 development, enabling developers of all levels to efficiently build powerful and user-centric blockchain products.
They believe that Web3 developers often face multiple dilemmas, such as dealing with chaotic protocol combinations and managing isolated development environments. Therefore, Empyreal acts like a toolkit, making Web3 development accessible by simplifying complexity and abstracting the technical details of blockchain development.
Their launched SimulacrumIO is a very creative tool that allows users to create and deploy AI agents through simple commands on social media (like X) to execute complex on-chain tasks, which will be detailed later.
The token launched by Empyreal is called "$EMP," and when using Simulacrum to create tokens, 50% of the transaction fees will go to the account wallet that created the token, while the other 50% will be distributed to $EMP holders. This is the main reason people are bullish on $EMP, and attention should also be paid to Simulacrum's platform revenue.

There isn't much to elaborate on regarding projects in this field; the main function is simple: to help you issue assets. Below is a table presenting some relatively popular recent projects.
AI Agent
AIXBT
The hottest meme on Base, without a doubt. It consistently ranks in the top three in mindshare for AI Agents almost every day, with a current market cap of about $200 million.
AIXBT was also launched on the AI Agent of Virtuals. When you search on Twitter, you will see many replies from AIXBT. Its core function is:
Tracking hot discussions in crypto Twitter and using its proprietary engine to identify strong narratives… AIXBT token holders can access its analytics platform.
In simple terms, AIXBT is an AI agent that aggregates hot information in crypto; you can think of it as the KOL of KOLs, providing you with more valuable information. The market generally evaluates AIXBT's market information as timely, with research showing that out of 210 tokens recommended by AIXBT, 183 have turned a profit after being recommended, resulting in a profit rate of 83%. Of course, this may also be related to the bull market.

The entire ai16z team actually has only two official tokens, one is $AI16Z, and the other is $DEGENAI.
According to the official description, DEGENAI will be a bot that provides alpha information on Twitter, and DEGENAI will also use this information for trading.
In layman's terms, you can think of it as a trading-enabled AIXBT on Solana.
Another feature of DEGENAI is that 8% of the profits from the ai16z fund will be used to buy back $DEGENAI, so these two tokens complement each other.
