Here are some experiences about building higherrrrrr, with an estimated reading time of about 5 minutes. Since this is just a casual record of thoughts, please forgive any spelling errors.

In this article, I will discuss the following points:

First, what is @higherrrrrrrfun?

In simple terms, we are a new type of Meme coin launch platform, where these coins "evolve" with changes in price or market value. On the blockchain, the metadata of the coins is dynamic and can be changed. We combine these changes in metadata with a "level" system, where the coin's status changes based on the price obtained from the oracle of the Uniswap pool associated with the coin.

This means you can create a coin like IDK, and when the price rises, its pattern will enlarge as shown in the image below:

After introducing this primitive, we found that many interesting projects could be developed. One of them is the concept of "belief NFTs." Simply put, these NFTs are minted after you purchase a certain amount of token supply through the protocol, used to "prove" on the blockchain that you are an early buyer.

For example, here is a pi coin I purchased, which is now in my wallet. We believe these NFTs will also hold value, especially the rare versions.

The platform is still in a very early stage. I completed the protocol and platform construction in about 10 days, and it is now live. We have some initial users and a community. The protocol had a trading volume of about 600 ETH in the first week. You can click here to check it out.

Why is it named the same as @higheronchain?

This is a bit awkward. I stopped using Farcaster around January this year and switched back to Twitter. I didn't follow the community there, so I was unaware of this situation. It wasn't until another friend from Coinbase reminded me that "this could become a problem" that I realized it.

Today, I participated in a podcast called The Purple Pod, sharing some thoughts on how to handle our branding issues. I changed the logo today (which is very similar to the previous one, probably due to limited options when naming something "higher"). I think this is a good start, and if both communities feel the name is an issue, we can discuss how to update it together. The delay in changing it earlier was due to my focus on launching the project.

I have also been communicating with the leaders of higheronchain, and we are discussing setting up a community fund to support projects from @higheronchain. I am very supportive of this. This is also one of the things that can be done without venture capital. I am ready to start allocating a portion of the revenue to this fund (though it's not much, there is some, currently about 25k, part of which can be used for this purpose—of course, I still need to pay some staff and RPC bills, etc.). We just need a multi-signature address to receive the funds.

From a trademark perspective, the leaders of higheronchain understand the use of the word "higher." Most trademark conflicts only arise when two projects with the same name do exactly the same thing. Although we are both building on the same foundation, the concepts are different. Changing the logo is a good starting point, and our name has 7 r's, which is also a bit funny.

What’s next?

I can finally take a break and stabilize the community after the launch of the hype. Just a short break, as I pushed too hard before. It's time to get back to building:

Here is a rough timeline of my plans:

  • Add support for NFTs and profiles in the user interface (tomorrow, no later than Friday)

  • Provide support for ai16z bots for each token deployed by creators (still in planning, expected to be completed this weekend)

  • Implement multi-chain support through Layer Zero (expected next week)

As always, keep building! We (I) fully support everyone in developing on this technology. We think it's very cool and hope to see it widely adopted.
