The public beta of the Web3 version of MapleStory is finally here. On November 4, MapleStory Universe announced on the X platform that the second pioneer test will start on November 20 and last until November 29, with a total of 5,000,000 NXPC mainnet token rewards distributed during the 10-day public test. It also stated that the second pioneer test will cover various experiences within the "MapleStory" ecosystem, including "MapleStory Universe N" (the upcoming first game), "Marketplace," and "Resource Manager." Following this announcement, the "hair-pulling" community in the blockchain gaming sector began to actively research optimal participation strategies.

Why is MapleStory Universe worth participating in?
The blockchain game version of MapleStory Universe is an MMORPG developed by the South Korean gaming giant Nexon, known for classic online games like "MapleStory" and "KartRider." In the Web2 era, "MapleStory" has been a massive IP with over 21 years of history, boasting more than 250 million user accounts and 6.7 million monthly active users.
Notably, Nexon announced in December 2023 that it would invest $100 million in its Web3 game project MapleStory, aiming to expand the MapleStory universe. This investment will be used to develop a blockchain-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

Previously, MapleStory Universe conducted a closed beta test for the pioneer test, inviting about 1,000 players to test the game. During this period, the daily active users (DAU) reached 714, with nearly 92% of testers participating throughout the 10-day testing period. The overall retention rate of the test reached 82%, exceeding the industry average. Additionally, over 190,000 transactions were conducted during the test, demonstrating a sustainable in-game ecosystem.
