On November 6, 2024, the U.S. election results were largely settled. With the key swing state of Pennsylvania turning red, Bitcoin reached a historic high of $75,000, and Trump was all but confirmed to take the presidency again, just like eight years ago.

To win this election, Trump made a fervent appeal to the crypto industry, becoming a Bitcoin advocate. At the Bitcoin 2024 conference held in Nashville this July, Trump made an appearance and delivered a nearly one-hour speech. Although it was delayed by an hour, the tens of thousands of attendees were still highly energized by Trump's uniquely personal address.

This was a commitment from Trump to Bitcoin, and now it is time for him to deliver on that promise. On this day of Bitcoin's historic high, let’s revisit that speech and see what commitments Trump made regarding Bitcoin.

TL;DR

• Bitcoin's market value has been increasing since its inception and will soon surpass silver, with the potential to exceed gold in the future.

We have many others who are supporters, so we need to talk about cryptocurrency, we need to talk about Bitcoin, we need to talk about all these great companies. Our country is fortunate to have all the extraordinary talents and abilities present here; it’s truly great. Even if not everyone is like that, we still have a lot of talent. This is the spirit of building America, this is the spirit of helping us make America great again, and this is what we are doing.

The Future Value of Bitcoin

I stand before you today filled with respect and admiration for the achievements of the Bitcoin community. I tell my sons that it’s incredible because they know so much about Bitcoin, far more than those a bit older than them. But I say this is like the steel industry a hundred years ago; I believe Bitcoin is still in its infancy.

We see it happening; in just 15 years, Bitcoin has transformed from merely an anonymous idea posted on an internet message board to the ninth most valuable asset in the world. Can you believe it? This is a big deal. Bitcoin's market value has surpassed ExxonMobil, and it will soon exceed the entire market value of silver. One day it may surpass gold, but given the current situation, this is likely to become a reality. Such a thing has never happened before; most people don’t even know what it is. When they figure it out, Bitcoin will become remarkable.

Bitcoin is not just a technological marvel; it is a miracle of cooperation and human achievement, forming many relationships. The reason I am here today to speak to the Bitcoin community can be summed up in two very simple words: America First, because if we don’t do it, other countries will. Let’s do it and do it well. My vision is for an America that dominates the future, with the best economy, the highest standard of living, and the safest, most beautiful cities.

When I say safest, our cities are currently heading to hell, but we will fix our cities and work with the Democrats who are destroying them. We will take back our cities and take back our country. We were once the freest, most aspirational, and vibrant country on Earth, and we will regain all of that. Because we have not done these things yet, we are a declining nation, but that’s okay; we will take it back.

Now, this is an embarrassing situation; if they respected our country, this would never happen. If we do not embrace cryptocurrency and Bitcoin technology, other countries will, and they will dominate cryptocurrency. We must be the most successful; that is what is going to happen. I want America to be number one in technology, number one in science, number one in manufacturing, number one in artificial intelligence, and number one in space.

Enhancing Power Supply

My uncle, Dr. John Trump, was a professor at MIT, and he would fit right in with the atmosphere of this venue. He was the longest-serving professor in MIT's history, graduating with great honors; I think he had three different degrees, but they still invited him to stay on as a professor at MIT, where he remained for 41 years. When I was in the White House, the president of MIT came to see me, and they gave me a book about my uncle; he is a legend in academia and at MIT, so I know a lot about what you are doing.

I have great respect for highly intelligent people, and you are highly intelligent. America needs to lead our competitors in every aspect; our industries do not surrender to anyone. Some of you are working in artificial intelligence, but you also need something called electricity; you need a lot of it. Even though we have ESG environmental impact reports to deal with, we will do things that no one thinks are possible. You need a lot of electricity; you need twice the current electricity supply in America to dominate (in the field of artificial intelligence), and we will accomplish this.

We will build power plants on-site; we will generate power using fossil fuels, nuclear energy, and do it in an environmentally friendly way, but we will produce enough electricity that you will say, "Mr. President, we don’t need more electricity; we can’t handle it; stop generating."

In the Midwest, (Tesla) just opened two electric vehicle chargers; you know I like Elon; he’s great, he supports me, but not everyone has to own an electric vehicle; I told him that. So we will eliminate mandates. If you don’t mind, some people want gasoline-powered cars, some want hybrids, and some like electric cars; I think they are all great.

I think he (Musk) understands this; otherwise, he wouldn’t support me. But they are building these chargers in the Midwest, spending $9 billion to build eight chargers; at this rate, it will take about $12 trillion to establish a nationwide charging network, which is not feasible. Our country will have to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. We must use our brains; we must return to common sense and produce a lot of electricity for artificial intelligence and everything else you are doing. We will produce it quickly; otherwise, we cannot compete with other countries.

Loosening Crypto Regulations

This afternoon, I will announce my plan to ensure that America becomes the global capital of cryptocurrency and the world’s Bitcoin superpower; we will achieve this. If cryptocurrency is to define the future, I want it to be mined, minted, and manufactured in the U.S. It will be made in America, not anywhere else. If Bitcoin is to "the moon," I want America to be the leading country; this will become a reality.

You will be very pleased with me, which is why I am proud to be the first major party nominee in American history to accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrency donations. The crypto community has done a lot, and I greatly appreciate them. Since we announced on May 21, we have raised $25 million, a significant portion of which is in Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and other very good currencies.

I am excited about the future of Bitcoin and virtual currencies. Our opponents have taken a difficult path; the SEC has been very tough on crypto, and they have hindered the path of crypto, but I will make it easier for you to grow. Now the SEC sees you embracing me, and suddenly those who were investigating have all backed off. They say they don’t want to do this; they love Bitcoin. But let me tell you, if they win the election, those attitudes will disappear again. They will become fierce and shameless, doing things you can’t believe.

I have heard the voices of some of your great geniuses; Vivek told me that 175 million people are involved in the world of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin in some form, and everything else. 175 million people, so when they hear this number, they say, at least be nice to them before the election. So I have relieved a lot of pressure from many people; today many are very happy, and three months ago they were not so happy.

For three and a half years, the current administration has waged an unprecedented war on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. For those working in this industry, they have targeted your banks; they have cut off your financial services. Has anyone seen this happen? Yes, many hands are raised. They have prevented ordinary Americans from transferring money to your exchanges. They have slandered you, calling you criminals.

But this has also happened to me because I said the election was rigged; he said the election was rigged, and he should spend the rest of his life in prison for that statement. Of course, what we said is now perfectly fine. By the way, we performed very well in the election; you know we recently lost a candidate, Biden; I think we lost that good man.

I made a metaphor last night. Think about it; I am speaking in front of a very influential, very powerful religious group, the Christian community, and then today I come before Bitcoin, and now I am going to Minnesota for a rally. You think my life is great, don’t you? I cover a lot of areas; I go from religion to Bitcoin to rallies; I am not like others who get confused. They come out and say, God bless everyone involved in the Bitcoin world. But in reality, we are serious because you need blessings; you must do something spectacular.

Last night we had a very pleasant conversation with a Christian group. I just won a big case in Florida. It was a document case; I have the Presidential Records Act beside me, and Biden does not. I won that big case, but Biden could not win it. He is no longer running because he did not perform particularly well in the debates. The problem is that Harris is worse than Biden; she is a fierce leftist. She is very opposed to cryptocurrency.

We are now facing terrorists coming into our country; those people come from Israel, and no one checks them; no one knows what is happening; we have no idea what is going on; they are not under national control, and only bad things will happen. So we cannot sit idly by; we must defeat them.

You cannot just be a warrior; think about it; you are fighting in a campaign. You spend a lot of money, a lot of time, a lot of effort, and your supporters lose. Then they say, let’s remove him from the fight; we will put a new warrior in, and the new warrior is her (Harris). He will always be my first choice, but she will be my second choice.

I know you are not that political, but you must become political. Because everything you do involves a lot of politics.

If we do not win this fight, the country we know may be over; this country will be in a terrible state. We must be there; we must fight; we must win. I promise the Bitcoin community that on the day I take the oath of office, the anti-cryptocurrency campaign of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will end. Once I take the oath, the persecution will stop, and the weaponization against your industry will also end.

Elizabeth Warren and her minions, she really hates you, she hates you people, she hates everything about you. As long as I am in the White House, we will keep them away from Bitcoin. They will let cryptocurrency thrive, and we will let it grow. On my first day in office, I will fire Gary Gensler and appoint a new SEC chairman, someone who believes America should build the future, not hinder it.

And Kamala Harris wants him to be the Secretary of the Treasury, which is not good. He was Hillary Clinton's finance chief, and the opponent is that gentleman known as Donald Trump, an unpopular figure in this circle. In fact, he once attended my wedding, but when you run for public office, many things change your life.

As president, I will immediately stop this "Chokehold 2.0" operation. They want to stifle you, want to make it impossible for your businesses to operate, but I will not let that happen. The government will no longer stand by and watch crypto businesses flee to other countries because American laws are too vague, too harsh, and too rigid. We will retain every cryptocurrency job in America.

Upon taking office, I will immediately appoint a Presidential Advisory Council on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. Is anyone willing to join this special committee? Their task will be to design transparent regulatory guidance for the entire industry, and it will be completed within 100 days. We will have regulations, but from now on, these rules will be made by people who love your industry, not by those who hate it, people who want the rules to be clear, simple, direct, and fair, people who want to see your industry thrive rather than decline.

Next, I will immediately order the Treasury Department and other federal agencies to stop and terminate all necessary steps because, as you know, there is something happening in your industry; they want to push for the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). End it, forget it. As long as I am president of the United States, there will never be a CBDC.

I will always defend the right to self-custody; you will have a great industry, and we will fuel your industry rather than destroy it. America will once again be a country that protects property rights, privacy rights, freedom of transaction, freedom of association, and freedom of speech. We will change our— we will return to the days when we were a nation of builders, not a nation that eats itself from within.

As part of our provision of regulatory clarity, we will create a framework for the safe and responsible expansion of stablecoins. Do you know what stablecoins are? This will enable us to extend the dominance of the dollar into new realms around the world. America will be everywhere, America will become wealthier, the world will become better, billions of people will be brought into the crypto economy, and they will save their money in Bitcoin; that is the fact.

Those who say Bitcoin threatens the dollar have it completely wrong; Bitcoin is not a threat to the dollar. What is truly threatening the dollar is the current actions of the Biden administration. The threat to our financial future does not come from cryptocurrency but from Washington, D.C. The threat comes from trillions of dollars in waste, rampant inflation, and open borders, as well as from providing welfare and free healthcare to millions of illegal immigrants flooding into our country; the threat comes from printing hundreds of billions to fund endless wars overseas while our cities resemble war zones at home.

Two weeks ago in Chicago, 117 people were shot, 17 died; you didn’t see that in Afghanistan. Look at what is happening in our cities; no one has seen anything like this in the past three and a half years. Think about it; is this America? I don’t think so.

When I am president, we will not start new wars. Hillary once said she would start wars. But my personality will keep us away from war; we ended some old wars, like ISIS. They said it would take five years, maybe longer, but we defeated ISIS in four weeks. Because we have a great military, and it is not a woke military.

Maybe some high-ranking personnel are woke, but this is not a fully woke military; I saw this first. When I see what they do for me, it is incredible; they did what no one thought was possible. Our real generals and soldiers are not woke. They try to make them woke, but those people will not be woke; I can guarantee that.

With your support, this November, we will restore confidence and common sense to the nation’s capital. Ultimately, this is not about whether you are conservative, liberal, or progressive. They like progressives; it sounds nice, but in reality, it will destroy our country; it will become a terrible word. But this is not about that; it is about common sense. We want to bring back common sense. Everything we are talking about today is common sense; Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will soar like never before, even beyond your expectations.

When we stop the war on cryptocurrency, we will immediately begin to rebuild our economy because when America prospers, Bitcoin will also soar. We once had the greatest economy, and soon we will have it again. Under the Trump administration, the typical middle-class family saw an increase in annual income of $6,000. People don’t like to mention this because during my four years in office, Americans saved more than at any time in decades.

Now you need to hear these numbers; during my four years in office, Bitcoin rose 3,900%, skyrocketing from $898 when I took office to $35,900 when I left. This is one of the largest increases in almost any industry; think about that number. Compare that to the situation after three and a half years of Biden and Harris in power, considering inflation, Bitcoin has risen 50%.

50% sounds good, but it doesn’t look so good compared to nearly 4,000%. When people can’t afford food or rent, they don’t have savings to put into Bitcoin. This administration has caused the largest inflation in our nation’s history; that is what is happening, and our people are being robbed.

Controlling Inflation

From the first day we return to the White House, we will replace the Biden-Harris economic stagnation with a brand new Trump economic prosperity. You will see a tremendous prosperity. You know, there are many great analysts, Scott and others, who say the stock market is rising because Trump will be elected. If Trump is not elected, this country will fall into a Great Depression like 1929.

I hope that is not true, but I can understand their perspective. They believe the stock market is rising because we look like we are going to win the election, but I don’t know what will happen in the election. You know they (the Biden administration) cheat a lot; I don’t know what will happen, but if we win, this country will become a city of prosperity, and it will experience an unprecedented boom.

The current administration’s economic plan includes trillions in new spending and $5 trillion in tax increases. They want to increase taxes by $5 trillion. They want the expiration of Trump’s tax cuts to take effect. They want to implement a wealth confiscation tax, so when you make all the money and hire all the people, they want to take your money in the form of unprecedented taxes, including a massive capital gains tax of over 50%. My plan is the exact opposite; we will elevate the status of workers, make more people savers, and reward success rather than punish it. They want to punish success, punish genius.

I will not let that happen. I will make Trump’s tax cuts permanent and provide significant tax cuts for families, individuals, and job-creating businesses, including eliminating taxes on tips. After eliminating the tip tax, I will cut unnecessary and burdensome regulations. I am working every day to make America the best place in the world to start a business, including cryptocurrency businesses. This will be the best place; you won’t need to go to other countries. For my citizens, the most important thing is that we will quickly end the inflation nightmare created by this government. It must end; it is destroying our country.

You know, inflation is a destroyer of nations. You can look back many years to Germany and see what happened during their massive inflation; it destroyed the entire country. Bitcoin enthusiasts, I want to tell you, you recognized the dangers of inflation long before most people did. You understand inflation better than anyone else. You know this, right?

If only they had listened to you, but they did not listen to you. The absurd waste of trillions of dollars by our opponents (the Democrats) has caused the value of every dollar to be rapidly erased by 20%, 30%, or even 40%. You understand this, but many others do not. The life savings of millions of Americans have been rapidly destroyed.

Simply put, uncontrolled inflation is an invisible tax on the middle class; I call it the "Biden Tax," and now it is the "Harris Tax." But this is a disaster; think about it; this is a 50% tax on the people. This is a human tragedy; it destroys people’s lives and is a disgrace to the nation; it must never happen again, and while I am president, I guarantee it will not happen again. We will take measures to ensure it does not happen.

We will raise energy supplies to levels people have not seen in years; we once had oil at $1.87 a gallon, and now you can’t see that. Under my leadership, oil prices were unaffected for four years; when I left office, the increase in oil prices was 1.4%. Then it stayed there for almost two years. I remember when Biden’s promise was 9%. But that was just a lie.

We gave them (the Biden administration) a great country, and although we went through the coronavirus, we did an incredible job. We kept funding the economy, funding the military; we rebuilt the military and did many different things, but we did not print money.

We gave them a great country, yet two years later, the cost of living has risen, in some cases (inflation rate) over 50%. They like to say it is 22%, but it could be higher; look at what they included and what they did not include. For example, interest rates went from 2.5% to 10%; you can’t make money at all.

When I return to the White House, I will stop this government’s madness and wasteful spending. I will end the endless wars. They have never stopped. Again, we have no new wars. During your favorite President Trump’s term, we had no new wars. But if you don’t elect me, America will be crushed.

They think I will start wars; let me tell you one thing, I will prevent World War III from happening because we have never been closer to a world war since World War II ended.

I will secure the borders and stop millions of illegal immigrants from entering our country. We will swiftly conquer inflation and together bring back the American Dream for citizens of every race, religion, color, and belief. We will bring back the American Dream; you don’t even hear the term "American Dream" anymore.

We used to talk about the American Dream; many of you are pursuing the American Dream, but if you don’t elect me, you will be crushed. I really don’t want to tell you this. If you don’t elect me, you will be crushed. You will then say, what a huge mistake this was.

We chose a talentless person; she (Harris) has failed at almost everything she has done, unlike Trump. Look at where we are now; we will move from our beautiful homes to a tiny house.

We will end the war on American energy; we will simply start drilling, drilling, drilling. We must do this; it is the resource we have. We have more liquid gold than any other country in the world, more than Saudi Arabia and Russia. We don’t use it. They use it; we don’t use it; we go to Venezuela to buy oil.

But we will not stop there; we will utilize all forms of American energy. I have set an ambitious goal that by the end of my term, America will be the country with the lowest energy and electricity costs in the world. With low energy prices, America will become the undisputed Bitcoin banking processing center in the world, and you won’t have to immigrate your family to other countries. After we implement these reforms, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will enhance our economy, strengthen the dominance of American finance, and sustain the power of our entire nation.

The U.S. Government Holds Bitcoin

Many Americans do not realize that the U.S. government is one of the largest holders of Bitcoin. Did you know that? The U.S. president holds nearly 2.1 million Bitcoins, which is about 1% of the circulating supply. But our government is violating the Washington law that every Bitcoin holder knows: do not sell your Bitcoin! As the final plan for today, I announce that if I am elected president, this will be the policy I will implement: the U.S. government will retain 100% of the Bitcoin it currently holds, as part of the U.S. government's ultimate rollout plan.

As you know, most of the Bitcoin currently held by the U.S. government was obtained through legal actions. They took it from you; they took your lives, your families, your homes, and your virtual currencies. That is the direction this country is heading; it is a fascist regime. Therefore, as I take steps to transform that immense wealth into a permanent national asset that benefits all Americans, I reiterate my commitment today to reduce Ross Albrecht's sentence to the time already served.

This is the current state of our nation. Ultimately, my commitment to each and every one of you is: I will be the president that America needs, the president that our citizens deserve, one who supports innovation and Bitcoin. This will be an industry, but it will be an industry that generates development, a great industry. I will do the same for every other industry as well. Our nation has never tried to block new ideas, to block the dreams of our people. America has always placed our flag at the forefront of the future, moving forward bravely.

We must do this; we have not done so in a long time, especially in these past three and a half years.

In your professional field (cryptocurrency), your history and experiences are built on your own wisdom, your own determination, and your own muscle; it takes courage to do this, but most people do not have that courage. My mission is to liberate you, to let Americans do their best, better than anyone else. We are going to win, win, win, win, win.

Our nation cannot fail; we are currently a failing nation, but we will not fail forever. With your help, we will save our country, we will restore our democracy, and we will make America and Bitcoin better, richer, freer, and greater.
