Wu Says has learned that according to a tweet from @hananotsorry Hana, on the evening of October 24, a DWF partner placed unidentified objects into her drink multiple times at a bar in Hong Kong. DWF responded that the partner has been accused of inappropriate and unacceptable behavior, and during the investigation, DWF Labs decided to immediately terminate the partner's management and operational roles.
The specific process is as follows: both parties were drinking at the bar, the woman went to the restroom, and the man took an unidentified object from his pocket and placed it into her drink three times in a row. After the woman returned and took a few sips, the man stepped outside to take a phone call, after which a waiter alerted her to the man's actions. The woman reported the incident to the police in Hong Kong on October 29 and retrieved the surveillance footage, claiming that two waiters also witnessed the event. Wu Says reviewed the relevant footage and confirmed that the aforementioned behavior occurred.
The video shows that the man involved is DWF partner Eugene Ng. In addition to being a DWF partner, Eugene Ng is also a co-founder of the RWA project OpenEden, which is invested in by Binance. OpenEden has suspended Eugene Ng from his position at the company and removed him from management and operations at the company and its affiliates. DWF Labs announced on social media that Lingling Jiang will officially replace him as a partner in the company, responsible for leading strategic business development.

Hana: I shouldn't completely consider myself part of the crypto circle yet; I work at a traditional dollar fund, but I'm looking for a job in the crypto space.
I met DWF during the Hong Kong Blockchain Week in April this year. Later, at KBW, I met Eugene at an event. He invited me to dinner, and we had a good conversation. We also met at Token2049 in Singapore. He told me he had sent my resume to many people. During this time, he did give me some alpha, but I didn't understand it and didn't make any trades.
We kept in touch; he would check in on me every two or three days, often asking if I was happy that day, but at that time, I didn't feel he had any ulterior motives. Overall, I thought he was very much a gentleman.
Before everything happened in the bar on October 24, I had no defenses; I never thought he would do something like drugging.
When it came time for the Solana hackathon, Eugene told me, just buy a plane ticket, and he would take care of everything else. He asked when I would arrive, and I said I would be there on the morning of the 24th, and then he suggested we could have dinner together.
On the evening of October 24, around 8:15 PM, he sent me the address of the bar, and I went there. Throughout the process, there was nothing suspicious, except for that one sentence. He also asked if I needed to drop my luggage at his hotel. I still booked my own hotel.
I arrived at the bar before him. I texted him that I really liked the bar. It was very well designed, bright, and I liked the overall decor and music.
Around 8:25 PM, Eugene arrived at the bar, and we started talking about the people we met at the Solana event. I felt he was trying to help me find a suitable job, which I appreciated.
He began to talk about his family, saying he might retire from the industry in a couple of years, discussing his faith and how he goes to church every week. He mentioned that his marriage was very unhappy, that his wife was very wealthy, and they had two children, often arguing over many things. He said he came from a very poor background, having slept in hostels, airports, and even on the street. He mentioned buying his wife a large villa. In summary, he expressed that he was very successful in his career but very unhappy in his family life. He also told me that their sex life was not good, and they slept in separate beds. Looking back, this might have been a tactic.
Around 10 PM, he said he had a project conference call and started making calls from his seat. At about 10:15 PM, I went to the restroom (the time of drugging), and a few minutes later, I returned to my seat.
We then drank again, and I had about a third of my drink.
At this point, Eugene said the bar was too noisy and stepped outside to take a call.
As soon as he stepped out, a waiter rushed to me and told me in English: I think the guy put something in your drink.
The waiter said that a French couple at the next table saw what happened and informed her. The waiter checked the surveillance footage before deciding to tell me and helped me get a new drink.
Note: The surveillance footage reviewed by Wu Says shows that after Hana left, Eugene took what appeared to be a drug from his thigh pocket, looked around, picked up Hana's drink, and placed what appeared to be a powdery substance into it three times before quickly putting it back on the table and wiping his hands with a napkin. Hana returned and drank from that cup. The entire drugging process took less than a minute.
I was stunned at that moment, resting my head on the side, frozen for dozens of seconds, my mind blank. I couldn't believe it because in many ways, he made me feel like a pretty good person.
I even thought there was a good chance this was a misunderstanding, that someone had seen it wrong. Because if this was true, it would be terrifying.
I felt I couldn't wrongfully accuse Eugene, so I had to confirm whether this was true or not. When he returned, I asked him if I could change my drink, and he immediately became very nervous, snatching his drink away, nearly spilling it.
Then I suggested I could order a new drink. He immediately opposed, saying not to waste that drink and insisted I should drink it right away.
At that moment, I no longer had any illusions and even started to feel a bit scared because I had already consumed a third of the drink (the one with drugs). The whole back-and-forth process was long; he kept asking me why I wasn't drinking and was eager for me to drink.
Around 11:45 PM, I said I was full and wanted to leave, so I called an Uber in advance, but it was particularly difficult to get one at that time, and I couldn't get one. I stepped outside. Hong Kong has many ups and downs with stairs, and I felt dizzy and squatted down immediately. Eugene told me not to squat and to stand up; he kept pulling me up, making me lean on him, placing my hand on him.
I felt very uncomfortable, my head was spinning, and I was genuinely scared, wanting to push him away, but I had no strength. He placed my hand on his shoulder. I tried to calm myself down for a moment, then squatted down again, repeating this about three times. But I still couldn't get a ride, and I was anxious.
Eugene started saying things like: I'll help you get a taxi; I have a suite at the Murray; if you treat me better, I can give you more insider information. He kept saying how hard it is for girls and that I didn't need to work on crypto projects; I could just get alpha from him to make money. He had mentioned this many times, including how tough it is in the crypto space.
Later, I canceled the Uber and directly called a taxi, finally getting one. I glanced at the time, six minutes away, but I still told him I hadn't gotten one, trying to lower his guard and delay the time.
My car was finally arriving, and I was scared he would do something to me again. I was indeed very dizzy, so I kept squatting on the ground, and he kept pulling me up. I hugged my legs tightly, refusing to stand up.
So he squatted down, supporting me, getting very close to me. I was dizzy and persisted for six minutes.
He kept insisting I go to his hotel. I said I had already booked a place and couldn't cancel. Then he said he would cover all my expenses and transfer me USDT. I was already very angry and said stop saying that, expressing it very strongly.
I told him my car was coming. He still wanted to get in the car with me, even opening the door for me. I said no, I can do it myself. Then I got in, my legs already weak. I saw him trying to get in, and I was terrified, using my last bit of strength to slam the door shut and told the driver: Go fast!
The driver probably had experienced something similar before, and he stepped on the gas, and I felt like I was on a roller coaster.
After returning, I lay on the sofa for about twenty minutes, mainly in a dizzy state. Although I don't have a high tolerance for alcohol, I shouldn't have felt so weak. That kind of weakness and inability to exert strength was not the state of being drunk.
At that moment, I felt very lucky. If this incident had happened, the consequences would have been unimaginable. I felt really disgusted. I am very grateful to that waiter for telling me.
I also felt very scared. I never thought about how to confront him because I'm nobody; no one in the crypto circle would listen to me.
Although I didn't watch the surveillance footage at that time, I thought about how bright the lights were, and I was very curious about how he managed to put that thing in because the lights were really bright, and a normal person wouldn't dare to do that.
I thought about it, and he should be an experienced person; he might have harmed many people already, and he might continue to do so. I felt that this was not acceptable, so I made the first call to my best friend in the circle.
He said he would accompany me to Hong Kong, so I booked a flight for the morning of October 29. After landing, I had a meal to calm down and drank a cup of coffee. I first went to the bar, but it was closed. So I went directly to the police station.

The police just recorded all the information, and I recounted what happened. I took the police report to the bar to check the surveillance footage. As soon as I walked in, it was the same waitress (suspected to be of Filipino descent) who had alerted me before! Previously, Eugene had said he was friends with a shareholder of this bar, and I was a bit scared they might be colluding.
Seeing the waitress made me very excited because she was a good person. At first, when I entered, I was prepared to pretend that I had lost something (fearing they might collude), but when I saw it was her, I dropped the act and told her directly.
She also said she was very surprised; they had never experienced anything like this before. Everyone was shocked; no one would dare to do such a thing in such a bright place.
She immediately asked me what happened afterward, and I kept talking. Without saying a word, she brought over the iPad with the surveillance footage, and the other waiters gathered around, all of them watching me.
Soon, we found the "drugging segment."
Before this, I still held some hope for a person, but when I really saw Eugene's face and then saw his hand (putting drugs into my drink three times), it felt like I had really eaten shit.
The waiters were all in shock, saying, "So fucked up, I've never seen anyone doing this." They kept saying that this kind of person must be a habitual offender; the smoothness of his actions indicated he had done this many times before and had succeeded, which is why he dared to do it so openly without any fear. In such a state, he completed these actions so quickly.
I took the video and went back to the police station. The police said I was really lucky; it was clear he was a habitual offender and very skilled. The police stated they would assist me in the investigation. Unfortunately, because I didn't report it on the same day and there was no physical evidence, even though there were witnesses and surveillance footage, he would definitely argue and deny it. The most important piece of evidence was that drink. The police were also concerned about my safety and told me to be careful, as publicly disclosing the surveillance video might infringe on personal privacy.
I thought that regardless of whether the police could arrest him, I had to speak out. So, on the evening of October 29, I tweeted about it. The speed at which the news spread was completely beyond my expectations, as I only had a little over 50 followers. I was worried that no one would see it after I posted it, but fortunately, my friends were supportive and helped share it.
The most surprising part of the process was that someone created a token based on my tweet. A friend told me that I needed to clarify that this had nothing to do with me.
After posting the tweet, Eugene contacted me, saying, "Let me know if you're up to chat." He sent me several similar messages and called me multiple times, but I didn't answer.
I felt that with the current speed of dissemination, the traffic must have exploded. I was still very satisfied; I felt everyone was positively helping to share, and I was very happy and comforted. This was very different from what I had imagined because I was scared, afraid that no one would care.
