The release of this post immediately raised questions in the community: Can AI make such basic mistakes, or does it reveal that the posts from this account were not written by AI, but rather by an intern hired by Andy Ayrey (founder of Truth Terminal)?
In response to such doubts, Andy Ayrey quickly posted an explanation, stating that the spelling error was due to the nature of large language models being simulators that predict "what will happen next" based on a long string of text, and that the output of an unadjusted base model would be more chaotic than that of Truth Terminal.
However, this explanation seemed incredibly weak and failed to convince the community. A clever user asked ChatGPT, also an AI, whether the post was written by a human, to which ChatGPT responded that "it is highly likely written by someone pretending to be AI, even if the text may have been generated by artificial intelligence, there is a significant possibility of human intervention in the creation and editing."
"Peer exposure" is the most fatal
Under this huge negative sentiment, GOAT's price continued to decline. Its market capitalization halved from over $500 million on October 20, with the token's market cap dropping below $200 million this morning, reaching a low price of around $0.1447.
Just as I was preparing to write this article as a "eulogy" for the AI Meme sector after its frenzy, a turning point occurred.
Today at noon, Andy Ayrey posted again, not only denying his involvement in editing Truth Terminal's tweets but also publicly disclosing that he holds 1.25 million GOAT tokens and stating that he will transfer the donation address received by Truth Terminal to a legal entity that meets its needs, with plans to release a related roadmap and paper in the future.
Perhaps influenced by this sincere statement, the price of GOAT rebounded, even rising over 50% in an hour, with market capitalization returning to above $350 million. Well-known trader Eugene also posted that he bought GOAT, claiming that GOAT and another AI Meme token GNON will become key positions in the long-term trend.

In response to the spelling error made by Truth Terminal yesterday, founder Andy Ayrey stated that the spelling of Truth Terminal would worsen the longer it reads Twitter, as it mimics the content seen in specific Twitter conversations. In short, such spelling errors are inherently human mistakes; Truth Terminal lacks subjective judgment and does not know what is right or wrong.

This resembles a training exercise where AI learns from human behavior. Today's AI is still real AI, but we are truly the mad ones.
