Following the launch of Scroll on Binance Launchpool and the upcoming token airdrop, early this morning, Optimism announced on X platform the fifth airdrop event for OP tokens (the query and claim address for the fifth OP token airdrop is: https://app.optlmlsm.io/airdrops/5). This airdrop has allocated over 10 million OP tokens to more than 5.4 million unique addresses; it also stated that by the end of the fifth round of OP token airdrops, there are still about 550 million OP tokens available for future airdrop activities.
This token airdrop event is an unexpected surprise for most "farming" users, so as soon as the token claim news broke, various "farming" communities became lively. Detailed Explanation of the Fifth OP Airdrop Rules
Airdrop Reward Overview
According to the official document, this airdrop has allocated 10,368,678 OP tokens to 54,723 unique addresses. The overall rules for the fifth OP token airdrop are as follows:
Addresses that interacted with fewer than 20 unique contracts are not eligible for this airdrop;
Addresses with a contract-to-transaction ratio of less than 10% are not eligible for this airdrop;
Addresses with a total reward amount below the minimum threshold of 50 OP are not eligible for this airdrop;
The base reward cap is 150 OP;
The total reward cap is 3500 OP.

Base Rewards
The base token airdrop rewards are aimed at users who interacted with at least 20 unique contracts on the superchain (OP Mainnet, Base, Zora, Mode, Metal, Fraxtal, Cyber, Mint, Swan, Redstone, Lisk, Derive, BOB, Xterio, Polynomial, Race, and Orderly) during the eligibility period from March 15, 2024, to September 15, 2024, and whose contract-to-transaction ratio (the number of contracts interacted with by the address divided by its total number of transactions) is ≥ 10%. The number of token rewards is proportional to network usage.
Bonus Rewards
For the bonus rewards, Optimism has divided them into seven categories, specifically:
Active Delegator: During the eligibility period from March 15, 2024, to September 15, 2024, the total number of authorized OP x authorized days ≥ 9,000 days, with 4,155 unique addresses meeting the criteria;
Frequent User: During the eligibility period from March 15, 2024, to September 15, 2024, conducting at least 10 application transactions per week for ≥ 20 different weeks, with 9,841 unique addresses meeting the criteria;
Superchain Explorer: During the eligibility period from March 15, 2024, to September 15, 2024, conducting at least 1 application transaction on ≥ 7 chains within the superchain, with 10,336 unique addresses meeting the criteria;
Early Superchain Adopter: Within the first week after the public mainnet release of the superchain, conducting at least 1 application transaction on ≥ 3 chains within the superchain, with 6,989 unique addresses meeting the criteria;
Quester: Completing ≥ 1 Optimism task between September 20, 2022, and January 17, 2023, with 14,113 unique addresses meeting the criteria;
SuperFest Participant: Executing tasks and participating in ≥ 5 SuperFest during the event period from July 9, 2024, to September 3, 2024, with 6,732 unique addresses meeting the criteria;
SUNNYs FanSUNNYs: Minting NFTs from ≥ 3 unique contracts registered with the SUNNYs during the eligibility period from March 15, 2024, to September 15, 2024, with 12,905 unique addresses meeting the criteria.

This sudden airdrop of OP tokens holds significant reference value for "farming" users. On one hand, the Optimism project still retains 550 million tokens for future airdrop activities, so carefully studying the rules of previous airdrops may help gain an advantage in the sixth round of airdrops. On the other hand, long-term active "premium accounts" will become key for future "farming."
