Chain abstraction is the next logical evolution of modular ecosystems. If you participate in #Token2049, there will be many activities related to chain abstraction that you shouldn't miss!

For a long time, we have been striving for modularity. While modular systems can independently optimize and expand specific components of the blockchain stack, they have also led to a new problem: fragmentation between chains. As shown in the figure below, we currently have nearly 80 L2s of various sizes, but they are not interconnected.

With the rise of Rollup solutions and RaaS, developing L2 has become very simple. For example, Op Stack, Arbitrum Orbit, or ZK Stack can all be easily implemented. Just as Vitalik Buterin has now indirectly denied the path of L2, because the more L2s there are, the more resources are dispersed, which is actually a harm to #ETH rather than a gain.

Next, chain abstraction will be the focus of modularity, connecting the value islands effectively and reconstructing a close-knit business form of 'global village', becoming the key to saving #ETH! In the past year, the chain abstraction track has grown rapidly, ranking first in growth rate in various sub-tracks, which deserves attention! As shown in figure 2 below.
