People with terrifyingly high cognition are all poor

I know many people with terrifyingly high cognition. They look at everyone around them as "idiots".

Really, these people are knowledgeable about everything. They can discuss world history spanning eight thousand years or talk about the AI revolution, Lei Jun, and Elon Musk. They can talk about philosophy and art as if they were listing household items, and they are well-versed in macroeconomic analysis in finance.

Not only that, these people also like to make numerous references when they speak. They effortlessly drop the names of foreign figures and cite the titles of obscure books. If you are left bewildered by their talk and curiously ask, "What are you talking about?"

They will give you an impatient look and say, "You don't know about so-and-so?"

Furthermore, these people have a common trait: they like to form groups centered around themselves and a few similar individuals. Then, they discuss extremely profound topics in these groups every day to assert their presence.

Behind this seemingly all-knowing cognition is a massive waste of time.

Does someone earning a monthly salary of 3,000 RMB need to have an in-depth understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Do they need to understand the principles of AI's large models used in Ultraman? Do they need to know how the city-states of ancient Greece operated?

Absolutely not.

Just watch a short video while using the bathroom or commuting, and knowing that two buddies are fighting again is enough. Enjoy a good laugh, swipe away if you're not happy, and delving into research is just a waste of time.

For matters truly related to the economic environment, which may affect one's main source of income, and for understanding what can and cannot be done, it's enough to follow a few insightful and well-known bloggers who have achieved tangible results in making money. Spend some money and listen to their analysis.

An ordinary person should spend at most 2-3 hours a month researching these things. Anything more is a waste.

As for studying psychology, history, art, or philosophy, in today's context, unless you are in these fields yourself, or your main job requires you to study these subjects, and you cannot secure certain projects without doing so, studying these subjects is also a waste of time.

The prominent symptoms of people with "high cognition" are:

Obsession with showing off, offending everyone they should and shouldn't offend in advance

These people who think highly of their own cognition often speak with a condescending attitude towards others, or to put it more aptly, they see everyone around them as "idiots".

And these people always want to teach "idiots" how to do things, how to think, and even what the ultimate truth of the universe is.

The end result is that, in their group of "idiots," there are actually "benefactors" who could have helped them make money.

By offending all their classmates/friends, they definitely miss out on any referrals, and others who know how to make money won't think of bringing them along, no matter how capable they are. After all, the money they earn is not enough to make them happy.

The common trait of these people is that they are "knowledgeable" about everything, claiming to be in a certain field, but in reality, they don't do anything. They justify this by saying their "perspective" is too high, and everything they do is a blow to others, which is unfair.

The reason they don't do anything concrete is not because they are afraid of being criticized and condemned, but because they know they can't accomplish anything.

Because once they fail, the image of being an otherworldly expert that they have been cultivating, and which is their means of survival, will collapse overnight.

If you express a clear and distinct viewpoint, the "poor" with high cognition will immediately jump up and shout, "You illiterate, how can you not understand this?"

Real "wealthy" individuals will just listen with a smile and say, "Hmm, your viewpoint is quite interesting."

In the end,

The time of wealthy people is too valuable, they simply don't have time to waste with you.

And the time of poor people is too cheap, so they always want to explain everything clearly to you and argue it out.
