Another example is Pascal's Triangle, but what is currently taught in textbooks is "polynomial expansion". The Pascal's Triangle in classical Chinese does not have symbols and cannot be used at all.

China did not make contributions to modern sciences such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry mainly because these subjects were not included in the imperial examination. If these subjects had been included in the imperial examination since ancient times, foreigners would have had nothing to do with them.
