OverProtocol successfully launched its Layer 1 blockchain mainnet on September 4th. The project aims to create a user-friendly platform that allows anyone to easily participate in the new P2P financial system without specialized knowledge. The core development team, Superblock, has raised $8 million, focusing on node optimization technology and is committed to building a comprehensive ecosystem to lower the participation threshold for ordinary users.

To celebrate this milestone, OverProtocol will collaborate with leading companies in the crypto industry, GSR and Jambo, to host an event called "HangOver" on September 5th. HangOver is expected to be one of the most attractive side events at the top cryptocurrency event KBW 2024 in South Korea.

Before the mainnet launch, OverProtocol conducted two testnet trials, attracting over 700,000 users to participate in Palm Staking through the OverWallet app, enabling mobile client staking. In addition, over 40,000 users ran the lightweight node client OverNode on their personal computers to become validators of the blockchain network through Home Staking.

After the mainnet activation, OverProtocol's two key ecosystem applications, OverFlex and OverScape, will be updated at the end of September. OverFlex is a super app that combines OverWallet and the real-world asset (RWA) market, expected to become the core of OverProtocol's vision. OverScape is the new brand of OverNode, symbolizing the beginning of a new P2P internet era integrated with finance, similar to how the Netscape browser revolutionized personal internet access in the past.

In addition, a large-scale airdrop will take place after the end-of-September update. OverProtocol's founder, Ben (Jae-Yun) Kim, stated that this airdrop will reward community members who have contributed to the ecosystem over the past year.
