Lessons learned from spending 5 million yuan

Ennnn, investing in bayc and hv (mech) has been my biggest loss in web3.

Take this avatar monkey as an example, even if sold at the hanging order price, it lost 67.5e in eth terms, a loss of 82.5%. If lucky, it was originally bought in u terms, and the loss in u terms is 51%.

Ennn, there is also a monkey that I bought with someone else, that damn thing is in e terms, I don't even want to calculate the loss.

Finally, hv (mech) lost me nearly 100e 😭

In summary, at least it has cost me over 200e, equivalent to more than 5 million yuan, due to this.

During this period, participating in sui and other new fund arbitrage, these nfts are tying up my funds, and the intangible losses are even greater.

Lessons learned from spending money:

1️⃣ u terms, u terms, u terms

No matter the bull or bear market, always buy in u terms. For example, when buying inscriptions recently, if it was in big cake terms, it would be a disaster; and when brushing backpack, it's the same if it's in sol terms.

2️⃣ Loss threshold of 30%

If the monkeys and mechs had stopped at a 30% loss, it would have been much more comfortable than it is now.

For any investment (except for big cake, which can withstand bull and bear markets), for me, if it loses 30%, it's time to exit.

3️⃣ Don't invest too much emotion

This avatar monkey has become my avatar and emoji pack, and I really can't bear to sell it, so the losses keep increasing…
