First Experience with Immutable Passport Beta 🧙‍♂️

Immutable Passport, a sub-module under the "Player Experience" section of the Immutable gaming ecosystem, aims to achieve a one-stop login and management for all web3 games within the Immutable ecosystem, similar to the account functionality of traditional gaming platforms like Steam and Epic.

Currently, Immutable Passport has only launched its beta version. Today, I had a first experience with it, and the basic situation is as follows:

1⃣ Immutable Passport beta version consists of five parts: Game Library, NFT Collection Library, Built-in Wallet, Settings, and External Wallet.

The Game Library currently only has two games available to play: Godsunchain and Bleacher Report, with six more games to be launched in the future.

The wallet includes a built-in wallet and an external wallet. The built-in wallet is based on Immutable's dedicated Zk Rollup L2 Immutable ZkEVM developed using the Polygon CDK solution. The external wallet is not limited.

Tokens and NFTs in the built-in wallet can be used for in-game payments, usage, and minting new NFTs, among other functions. The external wallet is in read-only mode.

2⃣ The Immutable Passport beta version adopts a modular construction approach, integrating TokenTrove and Atomic into the NFT collection library, and integrating Moonpay as the fund in/out service provider for the wallet.

3⃣ The network status of Immutable ZkEVM is still in its early stages, with very small data scales such as transaction numbers and address numbers. Specific data can be accessed through its block explorer (https://t.co/hBveRNXfHP).

In summary, Immutable has completed the market positioning shift from game developers to a gaming incubation and distribution platform in the bear market. Immutable Passport is an important piece in the new ecosystem architecture. However, Immutable's current focus is on cooperation with game developers in the B-end, and it has not yet focused on adoption by game players in the C-end.
