Volume Profile is a bar chart of the trading volume within a specific time range on the price axis. Generally, the longer the volume bar, the greater the trading volume. The most frequently occurring trading price within a specific time period is the control point, which can be used to confirm support and resistance levels, identify market bottoms and tops, and so on.
Below is an example to illustrate the use of the Volume Profile:
Select the trading pair for BTC and check the Volume Profile indicator:
1. Confirm support and resistance levels
If the price is below the longest volume bar, the price at the control point is the resistance level, and a valid breakthrough indicates a bullish trend;
If the price is above the longest volume bar, the price at the control point is the support level, and a valid breakdown indicates a bearish trend.
2. Analyze market trends
If there is a scarcity of chips above the current price, there is little upward pressure, and the price is likely to rise;
If there is a scarcity of chips below the current price, the support is limited, and there is a greater downside risk.
