Without relying on "Odyssey" or airdrops to build momentum, Coinbase's Layer2 network Base, ignited the market with a meme myth of a thousand-fold increase, attracting countless attention.

In about 14 hours, it saw a 2000-fold increase, with a market value of nearly $56 million and 8774 WETH in the pool around 5 pm yesterday. Considering that during the rise, many still generally believed that Base could only cross assets in but not out (Note: it can actually be crossed out, recommended reading: Tutorial | Step by Step Guide to Withdraw ETH from Base Chain), the large pool and the easily frightening "in-only" cognition formed a huge contrast, making players feel very incredible. Some even joked that $BALD is Coinbase's "advertisement," and this joke has been widely circulated on Twitter and various WeChat groups:

However, in just over 3 hours, $BALD revealed its fangs and destroyed everything. The project team suddenly withdrew a total of 8660 ETH and 179 million $BALD in liquidity within 7 minutes, causing a sharp drop in the price of $BALD, with the maximum drop reaching 80%. Currently, according to data on dexscreener, there is only 12 ETH left in the liquidity pool of $BALD, and the TVL of the Base network also plummeted from around $42 million to $9.42 million due to this impact.

"Rushing the meme dog" is an extremely cruel "PvP game." Crypto players know that this is no different from licking blood on the edge of a knife, but they always rush forward under the temptation of getting rich, handing over their fate to the anonymous project teams possibly sipping beer leisurely on the other side of the screen. I tried to create a "meme dog," and the process was so easy and enjoyable, making me feel so helpless and ironic…

It only cost $14, and with just a few clicks of the mouse, a "meme dog" was born

After connecting the wallet and signing on Thirdweb, click "Contracts," and then "Deploy contract."

Then we can choose the type of contract to deploy. There are many types to choose from here, supporting one-click deployment of ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 Tokens without code, and even supporting the deployment of an ERC-721 Token with staking function, an NFT ERC-4907 that can be rented, and even a trading market like OpenSea, and so on. Here, I simply deployed an ERC-20 Token, so I chose "Token":

Then click "Deploy now" to enter the settings page:

The settings page is as follows:

• Image: Token image.

• Name: Token name.

• Symbol: Token abbreviation.

• Description: Token description.

• Primary Sale Recipient: The address for the income from the token's presale. Since we chose a "Token" contract without a presale price, this is actually not used here.

• Platform fees: Additional taxes can be added to the income from the token's presale. In addition, if a service like an NFT market is deployed, taxes can be levied on all secondary transactions that occur in this contract.

After setting all of these, finally choose which network to deploy on. I chose Base:

The "Name" I set is "ZaicheshangBuhuibaHaimeimai111Shufule," the "Symbol" is SHUFU, the "Description" is "GM SHUFULE," and the "Image" is a comfortable emoticon from a Tieba. After spending $2.26 to successfully deploy, the effect is as follows:

Back to the settings center, there is a "Token" option in the menu on the left, clicking on it allows you to mint a given quantity of tokens. I minted 111111111111111 tokens, and then put them and 0.186 ETH into LeetSwap to create a liquidity pool. This way, this token can be traded on LeetSwap just like $BALD.

Minting the token cost me $0.42, and setting up the liquidity pool on LeetSwap cost me $11.35. The cost of creating a "meme dog" for me was only $14.03, plus some finger strength to click the mouse.

After that, I closed the liquidity pool and removed all permissions in the "Permission" function on the Thirdweb settings page, and the experiment was over.

However, using Quick Intel to check the contract created with Thirdweb still showed many yellow and red lights:

Since Thirdweb does not implement the function of buying/selling transaction taxes, I searched and found a one-click token issuance tool that can set buying/selling transaction taxes, so smart…

I cannot verify the security of this tool. However, the principle of this tool that helps deploy contracts with one click is probably like this: the tool itself is a contract, and after setting and confirming the deployment, the contract will execute the "Deploy Token" operation to complete the deployment according to the settings. I randomly selected a contract deployed with this tool for testing, and it showed better results than Thirdweb:

I highly recommend everyone to use Thirdweb to deploy their own token and try it out. Although it's just a simple process, experiencing it personally can make you feel something different (don't do anything evil).

Indeed, to create a "meme dog" with a market value of millions or even tens of millions of dollars, you still need to create a website, various viral marketing to cause fission, and so on. However, if you are like me, a "Crypto player," when we rack our brains to evaluate whether a project team's "vision is big enough," will all of this make you feel a bit ironic?
