Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood will deliver the inaugural speech for El Salvador's new Center for Urban Benefits and Opportunities (CUBO) artificial intelligence project. This project is a public education initiative led by the El Salvador government.
According to the El Salvador Bitcoin Office, the project will provide university-level artificial intelligence courses for students and professionals. Previously, the country successfully launched the CUBO Bitcoin (BTC) and Lightning Network developer programs.
The project will leverage the expertise of industry professionals to provide artificial intelligence education to the public. The El Salvador Bitcoin Office wrote in a post on X on March 23: "As El Salvador accelerates its transformation into the region's leading technology and financial powerhouse, the CUBO AI project will equip the country's students and professionals with the tools to dominate the forefront of artificial intelligence."

El Salvador becomes a regional technology hub through education and investment initiatives.
El Salvador has taken several measures to establish itself as a regional innovation center, including incorporating Bitcoin courses into the public education system, utilizing geothermal energy to mine Bitcoin, and implementing policies favorable to cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence.
In May 2024, Cathie Wood met with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele to discuss the future of digital assets in this Central American country and artificial intelligence policies, including a potentially tailored educational program from Ark Invest.
After the meeting, Wood expressed confidence that if El Salvador continues to pursue a technology-focused agenda, its gross domestic product (GDP) could grow tenfold within the next five years.
"The president can increase El Salvador's GDP tenfold during his next five-year term," Wood wrote in a post on X in May 2024, praising Bukele's forward-thinking approach.
In September 2024, Bukele also met with Elon Musk to discuss artificial intelligence and other 21st-century technologies, including cryptocurrency.
Musk similarly praised Bukele as "an outstanding leader," and the two continued to build a friendly relationship, which could facilitate collaboration between the entrepreneur and the El Salvador government.
