U.S. crypto ETFs were on fire Tuesday with spot BTC ETFs hauling in $493.95 million and the ETH ETFs a bit further behind, capturing $144.74 million. For spot bitcoin funds, Blackrock’s IBIT was the star, bagging a colossal $741.41 million.

Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust wasn’t too shabby either, pocketing $3.78 million, while Vaneck’s HODL added another $3.01 million. However, the day’s gains from these three were somewhat dampened by losses from Grayscale, Fidelity, Ark Invest, and Bitwise.

Fidelity took the heaviest blow with FBTC dropping $128.17 million, followed by Grayscale’s GBTC, which lost $84.71 million. Bitwise’s BITB wasn’t faring much better, losing $24.36 million, and Ark Invest’s and 21shares’ ARKB saw a decrease of $17.01 million.

Despite these setbacks, the $493.95 million influx boosted the total net inflows to a record high of $36.73 billion since Jan. 11, 2024. According to Sosovalue.com, trading volume settled at around $4.45 billion on Dec. 17, with the 12 ETFs now holding a hefty $121.68 billion in BTC.

On the Ethereum side, funds raked in $144.74 million, with Blackrock’s ETHA leading with $134.85 million. Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust managed $4.45 million, Fidelity’s FETH nabbed $3.94 million, and Franklin Templeton’s EZET scooped up $1.5 million.

Since July 23, 2024, these nine spot ether ETFs have collected $2.46 billion in positive inflows. Sosovalue.com reports that $664.87 million was settled on Tuesday, with these funds now controlling $14.04 billion in ETH, which is 2.96% of ETH’s market cap.
