We just added verification statuses to tokens in the Abstract portal. Starting today, tokens will now be labeled under 4 categories: - Vetted (gold checkmark): Tokens with a longer history of trading, widespread integration, and consistent usage across the ecosystem. USDC, ETH, PENGU, USDT, WETH, and absETH are the only tokens with this status. - Well Known (blue checkmark): Tokens deemed recognizable based on publicly visible factors such as project activity, team disclosures, presence on exchanges that conduct KYC, or listings on major aggregator platforms. - Unknown (gray question mark): Tokens without sufficient publicly visible information to support categorization. Often newly created, inactive, or lacking verifiable activity or presence on known platforms. - Flagged (red warning sign): Tokens identified as potentially harmful based on reports or signals of scams, fraud, phishing, misrepresentation, or spam behavior. Not displayed by default but accessible through direct search. Just because a token has been categorized as vetted or well known does not mean the team is endorsing the token. We have these labels to make it clear which tokens have been around and are not obvious honey pots, they are not an indication of any sort of financial performance. Please do not ask me to verify random tokens that just launched. There is a rigorous internal process that the team uses to determine which tokens will be verified. We reserve the right to remove or add verification statuses at any time.
