I don't know if this is true or a joke, but it may be difficult to buy iPhones or any Apple productivity kits in China in the future. The sanctions on China's tariffs have made it very difficult for Apple's Made in China.
To cope with these tariffs, Apple has already shifted some production to other countries such as India. According to reports, Apple plans to increase iPhone production in India to 25 million units by 2025, of which half may be supplied to the US market. And although the current tariff that India is preparing to impose is 26%, there is still room for negotiation.
But even at 26%, it will still be lower than neighboring Vietnam and Cambodia. Many friends may know that the batch of iPhones sold in 2024 are all made in India, with very poor quality and workmanship, but there seems to be no good choice in terms of price.
In addition, Apple has announced a $500 billion investment in the United States over the next four years, creating 20000 jobs, mainly in the research and development field. Reducing dependence on overseas manufacturing by increasing local production may alleviate the impact of tariffs to some extent. After all, Trump said that tariffs can be reduced and exempted as long as jobs are created in the United States.
The iPhone priced at $799 may not be available in the future.
