The Trump administration will announce its "equal tariffs" policy on 15 countries (including China, Canada, and Mexico) on April 2nd, Liberation Day, as the market is concerned about the global economic recession dragging down Bitcoin prices. Grayscale research director Zach Pandl stated that tariffs have reduced economic growth by 2% this year, but if the "Liberation Day" policy is implemented in a moderate and phased manner, the market may rebound and cryptocurrency assets will return to fundamental drivers. He expects tariffs to weaken the dominance of the US dollar and open up space for alternative assets such as Bitcoin. Pandl emphasized that if institutions do not have high confidence in the digital asset field and its related policies, announcements such as Circle's IPO will not occur.
