Golden Finance reported that the Business Standards Daily reported that the US AI company OpenAl13 submitted a 15 page letter to the US government on the 13th, saying that DeepSeek's latest model R1 was a progress worthy of attention. OpenAl also attacked in the letter, stating that it would bring "significant DeepSeek risks" and demanded that the US government take action. According to the report, Chris Lehan, Deputy Director of Global Affairs at OpenAl, acknowledged in this letter that "although the United States currently maintains a leading position in the field of artificial intelligence, DeepSeek indicates that our lead is not significant and is shrinking." At the same time, Lehan claimed that using DeepSeek in critical infrastructure and other high-risk applications would "bring" manipulation by the Chinese government. He also claimed that DeepSeek "infringes intellectual property rights" and its users "may face privacy and security risks"
