Ethereum core developers announced that they will launch the Hooli testnet on March 17th to address configuration issues with Pectra upgrades on the Sepolia and Holesky testnets. Pectra aims to improve transaction speed, efficiency, and user experience, and introduce new features that enable wallet addresses to have smart contract capabilities, allowing non ETH assets to pay transaction fees. If Hooli testing goes smoothly, it is expected that the Pectra upgrade will be deployed in 30 days and may be launched on the main network as early as the end of April or early May. Developers point out that Hooli is primarily used for testing validator exits, while Sepolia and Holesky are still used for other tests. (CoinDesk) https://www.
