The Republican controlled House of Representatives is preventing Congress from challenging Trump's tariff policies

BlockBeats News: On March 12th, the Republican controlled House of Representatives in the United States voted on Tuesday to block a congressional challenge to Trump's tariff policies. The vote undermined the efforts initiated by Washington State Democratic Congressman Suzan DelBene to challenge Trump's tariffs on Canada and Mexico. DelBene had sought to force a vote under the National Emergency Law to revoke the President's emergency powers, and the Senate must also pass the resolution in order for it to take effect. Tuesday's vote adjusted the way the House calculates the remaining calendar days in 2025, effectively preventing such a vote this year. (Golden Ten)
