Former US President Trump confirmed on the social platform Truth Social that he will participate in the presidential debate with US Vice President Harris on September 10th (next Tuesday), hosted by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Trump had previously accused ABC of bias and threatened to completely withdraw from the debate. In today's statement, Trump stated that the debate rules will remain the same as last time, and candidates will not be allowed to bring notes or "cheat sheets", and neither side will receive questions beforehand. Trump also stated that the third debate, which may be hosted by NBC News, has not yet received Democratic approval. Trump stated that the rules of this debate will be the same as the previous debate organized by CNN, where candidates are not allowed to carry notes or "copy books" and neither party will receive questions beforehand. The microphones of the two candidates will be muted throughout the entire debate unless it is their turn to speak. There will be no studio audience for this debate.
