DoubleZero Protocol is a blockchain infrastructure network aimed at enhancing the speed and efficiency of distributed networks. The protocol has announced a validator token sale, offering its native tokens to potential validators through a token purchase agreement.
Applications for this sale will be accepted from April 2 to April 10 via the CoinList platform, marking the first public token sale in the U.S. since 2019. This round of sales is open only to accredited investors.
According to the protocol, only validators currently serving high-throughput networks such as Solana, Celestia, Sui, Aptos, and Avalanche are eligible to apply.
Interested participants must submit bids, stating the price per unit of token and their maximum budget. This data will be aggregated to determine the final sale price offered to participating validators.

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Austin Federa, co-founder of Double Zero Protocol and former strategic lead at the Solana Foundation, stated, "The DoubleZero CoinList sale is an unprecedented opportunity aimed at those already securing the most performant and distributed blockchains. This provides access to the infrastructure for the next generation of distributed systems."
He added in a statement, "The industry has witnessed significant investment and innovation at the top of the technology stack—now it’s time to fundamentally reform the physical infrastructure layer that supports high-performance distributed systems."
The completion of this token purchase agreement coincides with a recent uptick in fundraising activities among crypto companies and crypto venture capitalists—indicating that the market still has room for growth in 2025.

DoubleZero aims to enhance the speed and communication efficiency of blockchain networks by providing high-speed, low-latency blockchain connections through dedicated fiber optic networks.
The focus on dedicated fiber optic networks for higher speeds is akin to the transition from dial-up internet using 56K modems over telephone communication infrastructure in the 20th century to broadband systems in the early 2000s.
