Currently, the BTC bridge that can be implemented (L2-L1 withdrawal) is the safest in terms of channel-type bridges, but the application scenarios are often limited, making it difficult to support parasitic assets on the BTC chain such as BRC-20 or Runes.
Multi-signature/MPC/witness bridge is the most common and compatible, but also the least secure and most prone to issues.
The DLC bridge combines the characteristics of channels and multi-signatures, with limitations on the witnesses, but it cannot completely solve the problem of malicious witnesses.
OP-DLC bridge and bitVM bridge are safer than pure DLC, but the implementation difficulty of bitVM is too high, making it difficult to implement in the short term.
The witness bridge of Bool network is based on ordinary MPC with added privacy computation and ZK, hiding the witnesses of the cross-chain bridge in the vast Bool network to prevent external attacks or internal collusion. However, the ultimate effectiveness of this solution depends on how decentralized the Bool network is, which can be traced back to POS itself.
