Can the TG bot be considered a separate segment in Web3? In my opinion, no. Three conditions to be a separate segment:

1) Solves real problems in blockchain;

2) Promote mass adoption of blockchain/Web3;

3) Has sufficiently differentiated narratives.

1⃣Regarding condition 1), TG bot do not solve real blockchain issues like scalability, privacy and security.

2⃣Regarding condition 2), while the emergence of the TG bot helps the prosperity of the TON ecosystem, it has limited help in promoting Web3 mass adoption. Will rookies use the TG bot while they onboard Web3?🤔

3⃣Regarding condition 3), TG bot also lacks sufficiently differentiated narratives.

In summary, I believe the existence of TG bot is due to the need for a prosperous TON ecosystem, so the prospect of TG bots is heavily dependent on the development of TON.

Of course, there may be arguments that TG bots can expand to channels like WhatsApp, Discord, etc. But a segment that heavily relies on channels worth to invest?🧐

Although the TG bot market has low entry barriers and is easy to imitate, there are still many existing Web3 users who need TG bots for trading, hunting airdrop, sniping new coins, copy trading, wallet monitoring, price alerts, etc. So the TG bot definitely will have many projects. But from a VC perspective, TG bots may not necessarily be one of the better choices.
